no need too talk down on SWToR, enough people like it still.
im personally not one of them, but that doesnt mean im gonna bash it. SWToR just didnt have what it took too stay big or grow bigger in the end. and thats a shame for them, prehaps this way will give them some more sucribers.

You know, as much as I dislike the people who crow about the WoW killers....I actually dislike the others as well, those who take such sadistic glee when a game 'fails' to live up to the hype. Who really cares all that much?

Enough people smugly declared ToR as a WoW killer, time for them to eat crow. There were plenty logging onto WoW just for the sole purpose of talking smack, so, I don't think the OP has any reason to not be a little chirpy at yet another pretender dumped on it's ass.i dunno, there were less threads about swtor being the next wow-killer then there were of rift. and beside swtor had a far better chance at being one then rift ever had. idiots will remain idiots when they say game 2 is gonna kill game 1, since there always will be people who enjoy either of them. so neither truly dies.

Then I didn't take it out of context at all. My point was simply that you criticize someone for bashing something, and then you bash the opposite with stronger language. Nothing is wrong with what you did. I just found it hypocritical.

This is actually a decent analogy.
Usually, the only reason a Wal-Mart will go belly-up is due to its own poor decisions. Rather it be dumb management, or hiring bad workers. The only thing that will really kill Wal-Mart will be themself.
Similiarly, only WoW can really kill itself. Other games can poke holes in it, but what truely does it in will be poor decisions on Bizzard's part leading to a loss is subs.

Hatwell i didnt bash the opposite. i just bashed all bashers. be it swtor/wow/rift/gw2 or any other type of fanboys who bash other games. i didnt bash anyone for what game they're playing. i bashed them cause they were bashing others.
so i wasnt being hypocritical, i just bashed those who deserved to be bashed cause their bashing others for enjoying something. if thats wrong, i dnt wannabe right.
anyway its getting a bit off-topic with this.

Didn't say it was wrong. Just found the language hypocritical.
Anyways yes, back on topic. I paid for SWOTR I did the one time payment for 6 months because per month it saved the most money, and I thought, "This is it, this is the next game that I will be playing instead of wow". 3 months later I was in my account page making sure that at the end of those 6 months I wasn't going to be paying again. I was very sad that SWTOR didn't live up to the hype, and totally understand them going FTP.

I also tried TOR, hoping it would fill the gap that was left after Cata killed WoW for me.
Unfortunately, I was dissapointed. And now I've mostly given up on MMOs.

i like the LoL F2P + cash shop set up. works really well. if SWTOR made something similiar they could do quite well also.
