Post your amazing PvP action here.
I'll start with 3:
WSG on my Resto druid. My team is mostly farming mid, the 2 horde healers haven't died and I'm getting farmed. Somehow it is still a 0/0 match. I decide to take action, efc is about to cap but I grab the flag in the flag room and carry it just far enough to stop the cap and get them to drop the flag. They manage to get a cap after that but it's not over. With about 5 min left I grab the flag and head GY as everyone went tunnel or ramp all game the horde easily cut us off. No horde on GY side I get dps starting to block the out and I clear to our room. My team starts to turtle save for a couple smart dps who go after the efc. The horde can't get me down but they drop flag and I manage a cap at 1:30 remaining.
Twin Peaks on my frost DK. Farming healers and EFC. Again a pretty even match, we get first cap, then with me and a couple others beating on their efc in their room we drop flag as I manage to take out their carrier, I get him on a ranged shot as he was running to cap. Ally flag on the ground in front of the horde flag- horde hunter gets to it just half second sooner and caps. 1/1 Then they get a second cap and we start to assume it is over, about 2 min left we clear the flag and most of our team turtles for the loss, a couple dps and myself keep chasing the efc- a paladin- across the board, easily surrounded by 6 fellow horde including heals somehow he gets beat down to about 20% when he hits the bridge at the horde base. 30 secs. I Pale horse after him from the ally GY at the far end and reach the efc as the other dps goes down, I deathgrip him through the group of horde and he dies on his way. Cap at 10 secs ftw.
No DG, no way anyone could've reached flag.
AB on my DK again, close match as we keep exchanging nodes. We win with 1 sec on the cap timer, simply if there was 1 more second horde would've won.
The best one I can remember recently was an IoC match. We only managed to get their gate down to 50% or so before they destroyed ours.Naturally most of us thought it was a done deal, but went back to defend anyway,The horde pushed in for the kill, but the group wasn't quite big enough with the defenders we had,so we managed to repel their first effort.
By this time nearly the whole team was back in the keep defending wave after wave of horde attacks. After a few minutes of this we noticed they we're starting to get low on reinforcements,so now the whole raid was back on the defence, just holding the keep.We didn't chase them down,we just stayed in our keep defending incoming. We eventually ground them down and won the numbers game.Best turnaround i've seen in a random bg,with 40 other random people. That was a good day :)
Alterac valley match, Alliance have locked us into our base, they're going for the honour grind with enough towers down to kill our commander, they fail to notice that we stealth capped all of their towers while they were south. take graveyard, 10 of us turn up in the keep with lust up and take commander with 90 reinforcements left. They mad.
Another would probably be me chain capping flags on my warlock because of portal's soulburn sprint.
I'll add another but don't make me feel like the only one who has awesome bgs.
WSG on my Dw frostie.
Even match with no flag caps. Im in the horde flag room fighting a Mage and manage to take him down while holding the flag. At 10% health I eat my ghoul, bandage and take off graveyard side and and I'm going unnoticed but heading straight for the horde FC who is blood and being escorted, I veer left and head for my mid fighting team but most of them are behind me and ressers are heading after the efc. A rogue takes after me and started to cc me and beat me down in. I trinket, death strike and do everything I can to keep moving and clear the flag. Finally I kill the rogue, I'm back to 10% health and finally find help as I hit the tunnel and cap the flag as my team kills the blooddk. This cap, the hardest I've ever had to fight for one, turned the match and we proceed to 3 cap em.
Reviving with an epic WSG.
Always my favorite BG- I was running my frost DK and, as always, playing defense and targeting efc. I started the BG in our flag room waiting for the efc to come. First it was a warrior, all alone. I pinned him in the room and proceeded to burn him down after popping my Deathpact heal. Flag return 1.
Then a rogue stunned me right after the return and at 70% health I proceeded to burn him down. That's when a warlock came and grabbed the flag, with the rogue gone he too was all alone and I took him down. Flag return 2.
A priest entered next and despite his heals I took him out too. 4 kills, 2 returns all within the first bit of the match. By now my FC made it back with the rest of my team and managed to cap before the entire horde team streamed in and focused on me.
Now they were pretty mad at me so when I moved mid field to catch their priest FC 3 horde gave me what-for, but not before I deathgripped and chained the efc with some dots.
The rest of the match was a push/pull. 8-9 players on my team were escorting the FC a Druid was stealthed for the insurance flag grab when our FC eventually died, this left me as the only one trying to kill the efc. Of course I was well dispatched as they didn't leave the FC alone for me to kill. Horde managed a cap, 1-1.
7 of the top 8 damage dealers in the BG were all horde, the lone ally showing was me at number 3, and I didn't let up. I wasn't watching the clock rather just charging the efc and trying all by myself to do something. Now the warrior I killed at the start had the flag and I noticed he was damaged crossing mid and not getting heals as he parked at the cap. I took my chance and ran straight in, past a rogue and past a warlock who was moving to the balcony for ranged bombs. I charged straight in on the warrior, nothing to lose. The rogue jumped me from behind, warlock bombing from above. The warrior hesitated before he started fighting back. It was a dead even burn, both of us at 10% and dropping. I knew I was about to die, I just hoped the warrior would die first. I started spamming my mouse clicks on the flag, while obliterating. Then the impossible happened: the warrior died and in the split second after (and I mean "split second" because it was less than a second) I clicked the flag and died. Return number 3. 1 minute 30 seconds left in the match. I return to the flag room to complete the turtle with a 2-1 victory.
I love being a hero in BGs but this team made me win it for them. Absolutely amazed me that I survived a 3vs1 and managed to click the flag. Never-ever give up. You just might take everyone by surprise.
Was in WSG (before time limit)where we quickly capped first then Horde quickly capped twice, took maybe 10 minutes to get to 2-1 them. couple of bad dropped and we got new and seemed to balance terms cuz we spent the next 3 1/2 hours capping 2 more to win. long and hard fought bg i loved ever minute
And a Winter Grasp, Horde atacking inside the final courtyard with 4 minutes left with 2 of 3 towers downed by us i, a pally named Dummbell, drove a siege to try to get last tower down made it near tower to a group of horde waiting. Mad that i had no help i made it close enough to get one shot into the air as my siege was destroyed and what the hell do you know, that 1 shot destroyed the last tower as the final door fell a second after, giving us the win. 3 ppl acknowledged to everyone that i won that for us but no one was around to see it was only 1 shot that did it
I went to the top floor in the alliance flag room in Warsong Gulch on my Level 100 Tauren warrior to try and get the flag back.
The flag carrier was there and he was also a warrior. I proceeded to fight him thinking I would not win. I don't know how i did it but I ended up killing him.
I think it was because he didn't really have any defensives ready yet. And I was playing more safely than he was. He had popped his defensive cooldowns before I had and so I started trying to burst him down but then he started to get the jump on me and i immediately played it safe and heroic leaped away and then charged right back at him and at that time i knew he didn't have anything left and so i popped my bladestorm i think, and i killed him. and i clicked on the flag, returning it and Horde won!
Anyways, I was feeling a little proud of myself that day because i was thinking i wouldn't be able to kill him myself but i did anyway, haha!
But I don't think this really counts as amazing or anything but just wanted to share anyway sorry.
I Was doing 2v2's with my Night elf Frost Death knight and my friend who was a beast mastery hunter, and we were up against a subtlety rogue, and a marksmanship hunter. Unfortunately my friend got CC'd really hard and died in the first lil' bit of the match, I managed to keep my heals up through out the 1v2 and I managed to kill the rogue in about 2 shots! the first was for a couple hundred thousand damage, and the next was a second obliterate, and then it was time to 1v1 the hunter I CC'd him but he was able to get me to 110,845 hp, and then I kept my heals up till all my cool downs were ready to blast him with again, and I got him to 80k in 4 hits with obliterate, and howling blast the crap out of him. At that time the hunter just stood there and let me kill him. DK's are soooo good :)
All of mine happened Pre-MoP, the noob expansion.
I'd have to say that my best was in Cata when I mained Fire Mage. I single-handedly held off 4 enemies from the FC in Warsong Gultch, eventually angering the bulk of the team and causing them to focus on trying to catch/kill me. Topped damage and stayed roughly mediocre on kills, but my irritation of the enemy caused 2 more flag captures for the win without the carrier having any interference. I had zero deaths. Gotta love that tunnel vision lol
