page has several very good tips among it ever since molten front was released and hunters started taming him.
Swap to Marksman spec.
Begin to cast Tame. When he begins casting his thingy, jump, Silence Shot him, cast Deterrence and cast Tame again. this indeed how i handled it, and i tamed it in one go.
so grats you found your own way of dealing with it, but you could have gotten it sooner if you just had read some tips and tricks on his page.

I tried a few different ways to tame him and only ended up burnt to a crisp. Finally I used the silencing shot method and of course it worked first time.
He burnt me so many times I named him Ember.
