is fantastic.
Race wise, if you're going to be big into PvP, I'd say go human for
Every Man For Himself
. Otherwise, I'd say personal preference.

Worgen is a solid option for both PvE and PvP.
All the specs are good for leveling. I am partial to Demonology right now.

This site is also a pretty good source of info. We have a pretty good warlock forum with correct builds, rotations, etc.
Elitest Jerks was always a great site. But they seem to have let the site go a little.
For pvp Affliction is the best spec currently. All 3 specs are solid for PvE. I've raided 8/8 heroic with all 3. It's all personal preference. Affliction is the all around best imo, but demo and destro are more then viable. Try all 3, see what playstyle you prefer. Me, I am currently destro/Aff. But was Demo/destro for 90% of this expansion. I only went Aff for the massive numbers it pulls on Madness.

Just to point out if you are a loner an STRICTLY gonna do 5 mans you can skip Seed of Corruption an use Rain of Fire. ROF causes a terrible amount of damage in 5 mans. You can tab Corruption if u wish b4 ROF. However, I find that just spamming ROF is sufficient. Raids are a different kettle of fish.

It depends on group DPS etc, how long trash will live. Soulburn:SoC > SoC spam can do a lot of damage, for affliction a lot more than RoF.

destro seems more fun for me nowadays my gear still getting better i started with demo and affli as i reach lvl 85 now im playing destro for pvp and pve playing destro is more fun for me since it has a lot more tools to play with also in pvp i hate when players die AFTER me while i watch them on the ground

One thing I noticed with questing is that Destro feels faster.
Afflic has great survivability and if you can juggle DoTs with fear, it has the best multi-target ability.
I leveled Afflic from 1-70 but did Destruction 70-85. Afflic can be slow for single target. Destro burns them down before they get to you. With practice, I can do 2-3 mobs with Afflic and they will die at my feet before hitting me. At 70+ levels, no pets will hold aggro long. As Afflic, use VW to gather up a few adds then burn them down 1-2 at a time. Demo is a good balance between the two. Good DPS and good survivability. Afflic is great survivability and Destro great damage while leveling. Just have to pick your style and practice at it.
This is from a PvE only perspective. For me, PvP is like Walmart, I'm the Spirit Healer's greeter. I'm there first and always around to say "welcome" when you visit.
Often I use The Warlocks Den
http://wowmb.net
for forum browsing, but Elitest Jerks is best when current.

Love this.

I went dwarf/destro, just coz it would be a harder combo to play. ;) The Stoneform racial is good against rogue and DK, among other things.
"Stoneform Racial
Instant 2 min cooldown
Removes all poison, disease and bleed effects and reduces all damage taken by 10% for 8 sec."
