I'm not sure if this has been talked about yet, but is there any intention of ever adding in an ignore list to filter out posts from certain users?

I have also thought about this idea and while I think it has merit I am not convinced it would be practical considering the amount of work it might require to accomplish compared to its benefit to wowhead overall.
That said the reporting feature works very well and the mods here are top notch.

Heh, Mila knows all about the mods; she's an Off-Topic regular.

I've certainly wanted this in the past, but it would make conversations on the forum very broken (where I could see this as most applicable). Especially in the back-and-forth discussions, taking out posts by members would lead to a very confusing, one-sided argument.

Reports aren't always approved, especially in the case of comments that an individual finds offensive / irrelevant but the mod or portion of the community do not.
I think (but am not sure) that Milayu is asking about trying to hide comments made by members that post things that are upsetting or useless to Milayu, but others in the community agree with or would like to read or find helpful. I know I see comments on the database that I would prefer not to see, but the high voting score indicates that I am in the minority on that. (I like the database to be full of helpful comments, not funny / entertaining / RP stories) By the same token, I see posts on the forum that I personally find upsetting, but I know that reporting them would do nothing because overall the posts contribute to the conversation of the thread. I also may find I disagree with a particular member, and hiding their posts would be beneficial. (Of course, I could opt not to read those threads, but if there is overlap between their interests and mine, etc, it can become difficult to avoid seeing their posts)
The idea is certainly an interesting one, but I think it would not only be difficult to implement but also frustrating to use. Trying to read through a one-sided conversation would become confusing quickly, and I imagine the other posts, however bad they were to see in the first place, would clarify the discussion.
edit: As an aside, Milayu, would you be so kind as to email me using the address below? I'd like to discuss something else with you not suited for the forums. :)

I know I see comments on the database that I would prefer not to seeThe problem with that type of comments is, however, that they are by many different users. An ignore wouldn't help much here.
For the forums, I'd say you don't need an ignore function without private messages. Thread replies are just that, and they will be buried by time and other posts soon enough.

I'd be against an Ignore list that hides forum threads/replies.
Forums are about community and you're not always going to agree with everyone in the community... if they're abusive then moderators can take action. If someone simply doesn't agree with someone else that's just again part of a community and you can either choose to contribute to the conversation or start a new one.

I agree with Sinth and sas. An ignore feature would not be a good idea in a forum.
