Characters being listed that aren't mine...

Right now, atleast for me, when I view my user page and click characters its lists mine as well as a bunch of "Kynn-----"s that are not mine. I have searched them on Wowheads database but I have never "claimed" them. I have twice now "Removed" them and yet again, they are there. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what could cause that. We can look into that. If someone is using the client with your login or something, it's possible they somehow got claimed that way, but it certainly sounds like a bug.

Hmm... Not sure. In the mean time I just "removed" them again. Makes the third time. I mean its not a terrible thing just bugs me because I don't want to be "auto-claiming" toons that aren't mine. But if it's a bug, hopefully it will work itself out. Thanks.

You've said in previous communications that an account with the same name as those characters lives with you so the issue is probably your house-mate using your computer to log into their characters and that data getting uploaded with your own.
I suggest getting them to disable the Wowhead addon when they log into their account on your computer.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense--it would definitely be that then. If you share clients (which isn't against TOS), you will automatically inherit the characters the client sees you login with.

i kept forgetting to disable the wowhead client in my boyfriend's account settings on this computer, so his characters would show up on my profile all the time. i finally just set them all to "private" instead of deleting them so while i can still see them on my account, at least they will no longer show up on my profile.

Ive had this happen too, for the first time today. All random toons on different servers. None I recall ever having looked up. No one else uses this computer let alone plays in the same house as me so i am not even sure where they coming from... Just removing them but no idea how they even got there..

Will have to do some more troubleshooting here, since the Profiler has been completely rebuilt since 2012 and doesn't rely on the client now to pull characters in.
Can you email with armory links to the characters that randomly showed up, as well as a screenshot (if you haven't deleted the random characters yet). Thanks!

Same thing here. I've sent the email already. The difference is my randoms are from the same server as mine toon.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##Gontier##DELIM##- Sorted.
