In Looking for Raid, the system has been changed that rolls are calculated by your Role(aka dps, tank, heals) in regards to the loot; if a mail piece drops that has agility stats, Hunters and Enhance shamans get an extra +100 to their rolls as that's a dps piece. Same thing happens for heals and tanks. The system only takes main spec into consideration when doing this.

I'm not sure how it's handled with tier pieces that drop though. I've seen some get bonus rolls, and some not. I'm not sure if it factors in your current gear and gives the bonus roll to those who would need it more? It's weird.
But regardless, just remember that people are going to roll need even if they don't need it, and probably give it to a friend they're running with if they win it. Also remember that if you don't get your drop you want there's always next week :)

Actually, I think for Tier pieces, everyone gets the +100...or maybe it's taken out....I'm actually not quite clear on it either lol; but since only the needs really matter to that aspect, those who greed don't really matter heh.

Do I need to /roll on every drop or is it automatic on greed?
You dont /roll, you press the right button on the UI. And unless you do it the item wont get rolled for for 5 minutes. So if you leave the group and not press any buttons, you will make a few players angry.

Holy Paladins do not get any bonus for either of these as I found out last night.
Thanks for verifying that.
Was nothing to verify really. These items are considered tank/dps - holy paladin is none.

ret pallies do get +100 on souldrinker, however.
because Souldrinker is considered a tank/dps weapon so Ret Pallies being dps they also get the +100 on roll

and sadly most of the time souldrinker drops its a ret pally that wins in my observations
