Are you sure they didn't suggest to ask on the official forums? Anyway, this doesn't sound like anything another player could help you with, this is something the GMs should look into, or forward to the devs.

Did you check whether you still have an active quest in Hyjal, that is just not tracked at the moment?
Do you have another character that is 80+, and preferably has already done the initial quests of Hyjal? If it works on another character, it's definitely not something on your end.
I'd say there's something wrong server-side, it could be that some quests were reset for you. Check whether you can do
Warchief's Command: Mount Hyjal!
or
As Hyjal Burns
(starts in Moonglade) again, or whether there are any quests available in the initial areas of Hyjal (or anywhere up to the point where you last quested)
