Hello mon,
I just dinged 85 on my Druid last night and I am now trying to gather some feedback on how to heal best in 5 mans. So far I keep LB stacked 3 times on the tank by using mainly Nourish or LB itself.
If other members of the group take damage I use Rejuvenation or Regrowth while trying not to lose the LB stacks on the tank. If group heals are needed I throw Wild Growth or use Swiftmend.
I still feel that I am often low on mana, but that might also be down to my very bad gear at this point in time.
Any tips / tricks / improvements?

Wild Growth (27% base mana) > Swiftmend (10% base mana) > Rejuv (20% base mana)
unless only one guy it getting hit than rejuv should suffice, if two, just use WG.
As you can see Swiftmend is your best mana per healing spell - use it often.
I still feel that I am often low on mana, but that might also be down to my very bad gear at this point in time.
Using Regrowth at any other instance than Omen of Clarity proc is huuuuge waste of mana.
Whats your spec? Anything similar to
this
? (seems so, although genesis > furor)
How do you use your cooldowns? Tree of life lets you put Lifebloom stacks on all 5 people creating tones of healing and tones of OoC procs. Tranquility on such short cd is simply amazing.
I assume
thats
your armory.
1. And most obvious part. You are wearing non leather item (head), which is actually a dps caster head. Find something leather, fast. Anything that has more than 43 INT will be an upgrade (due to 5% bonus to INT you losing by wearing cloth).
2. reforging. You can stop reforging for haste for now. There is not a chance you gonna reach any haste HoT caps, just stay with mastery.
Pretty much thats it.

Thanks a lot. I have to say I wasn't even aware that I am heaving a non-Leather item on me right now. The reforging was done via an addon, I guess it applies the wrong base pattern with this gear.
Tree of Life is something I have been using way too little at this point in time. Will have to do that more.
Thanks for the valuable input :)

Keep LB up, it's okay to let it go off as in DS with how much you have to heal it will happen all the time (especially Ultrax, as you might not be in the same phase as the tank when it goes off). If I see health going down on at least 3 targets immediately use wild growth, pretty much if its off CD and there's people missing heatlh, click it. Tranq on parts of the fight where you know people are taking high damage and they already did lose damage. Siwftmend has two vital parts- first of all its a big heal, second of all its a big aoe heal. If you're stacking for heals, pop it, or you can combine it with NS HT and get an instant 80%HP heal even on tanks. Rejuv is your best friend when many people take alot of damage. Regrowth is when you need a really big heal but can't focus on one target. Also use your mana-free cast on regrowth as it is really expensive and is your best heal that has no major CD. Try not to refresh Regrowth and Rejuv on targets as you will waste mana and a tick.
Gear priority goes like this: Intel> Haste cap (2005)> Mastery> Spirit> Crit.
Haste cap is vital, so try to reach it as much as you can, Bottled Wishes is awesome for reaching the haste cap as it gives 400+ haste.
Also pop innervate on bosses once you get down to about 75% to get it on CD so it will come off CD earlier.

Have you at least looked at his armory? He has 333 ilvl, lots of green and low level items, 2 boe epics. I think he has bigger problems now than getting to haste cap or buying bottled wishes.
meth:
Addons dont have brain. You do, use it. If 2005 is the goal and you cant reach it you basically losing all the points you put into haste in favour of mastery, which will provide linear buff to all your healing regardless of haste amounts.

Ok I should just reforge for Spirit and Mastery? Are there any caps or plateaus I should aim for?

No caps or plateus. Both contribute your healing and mana regen in linear way.
Caps are individual - as soon as you feel comfortable with your hps combined with your mana usage (the less hps you got the more mana intensive your healing is) you can start dropping spirit from gear in favour of haste caps and mastery.
You shouldnt reforge the low gear at all. Leave it like it is, once you have gear you'd like to enchant and gem, you can reforge than.

I crafted the PvP leather helmet this morning, got the Hyjal enchant and made a reforge to more Spirit and Mastery. Will see tonight if that improves my 5-man healing. Using Tree of Life has brought a definite advantage when I did a run before leaving for work.

Apparently it takes weeks to get up to HoT gear level now... He will reach the gear level where he can hit haste cap in no time, I hit haste cap back in 4.2, and I wasn't even heavily raid geared, with HoTs he will easily have enough gear to get haste cap. Plus it takes just a couple hours to get enough ilvl to get into HoTs...

They're only 'easy' to get there if you keep getting half decent normal heroic groups who don't consistently wipe on everything :)
