im trying to do some old level 70 raids on my priest for transmog gear and i was wondering how i would go about doing that. im trying to get the incarnate raiment set from here:
so how do i get into these raids and also do you think it is possible for me to solo them as a shadow priest or would i have to bring some friends along?

Find the entrance to the raid, be in a raid group, and enter the instance. Same way we get into raids now, and have been since the game started.
As for you being able to solo as a Spriest, it may be possible. Have to look up each boss before, or just try to bring someone along to help.

it looks like that set is from karazhan, as the above said you go to the entrance be in a raid group and enter. The entrance t karazhan is in deadwind pass, easiest way i find is to take the portal to blasted lands (like you would going to outlands) and head West/northwest. You will see a decent sized castle there and an entrance, walk up and right click the gate to enter.
As for soloing it, is quite possible. there are quite a few guides out there about soloing the place, only two hard fights really. Just be careful your first time through, dont pull too much until you see what you can take. Watch a video as you go through there so you can know where to go to get through there. After the first time or two, navigating the place from boss to boss gets a lot easier. Like i said soloing the place shouldn't be hard at all, but nonetheless bring a couple friends or guildies along for help where it does get a bit harder.

kara, grull and magtheridon - thats t5, i guess?
head: prince in kara
hands: curator in kara
belt: illhoof in kara
feet: shade of aran in kara
wrist: mainde of virtue in kara
shoulder and legs: grull
chest: magtheridon
Kara should be soloable, gruul and magtheridon you may have some troubles with due to mechanics.

To add to what others have said, the only fight you may have trouble with in Kara is the chess match, since it relies on strategy & not being OP.
Other than that, if you do decide to go ahead and solo the fights rather than group with at least one other person and convert to raid group, may I suggest grouping with an alt. To do this, have a friend or guildmate group with your alt, then log off that character and onto your priest. Have them pass lead to you and then they can drop group. You can then convert to raid, and won't have to rely on any one else staying in group. The benefit to this is that if you die, you will still be able to re-enter the instance, which you wouldn't be able to do if you had let the other person drop group (leaving you solo) after you entered the raid.

Alt must be 60+.

Alt must be 60+.
Alt's only have to be level 10 to form a raid.
Easiest way I have found is to create a starter edition account (free), level a character to 10 and use it to form raids. Get your main to invite your alt, then alt+f4 on your alt after it has accepted the invite.
Don't have to worry about people being online/annoying them when they are :)
I see. I was under the impression phrase "character level must be eligible to raid" gonna mean it must be at least 60.

This is the same way I do it too, although a quick note. If you use the following script on a level 1 toon you don't even have to level to 10, not that levelling to 10 takes very long.
/run SetAllowLowLevelRaid(1)
SetAllowLowLevelRaid

Has been a while since I've ran there...but if I recall correctly you have to run thru what looks like an old small western town (think cowboys) before you get to the entrance.
That old small western town is actually stratholme.

Another way to get a raid group without asking anyone is to go do Tol Barad and as soon as it is over race over to whichever raid you want to go into. I used to do this to do Molten Core all the time on my rogue to farm Blood of the Mountains. You just have to get to your raid before everyone drops group... which is kind of fun sometimes...like racing the clock.

Tip you aren't killing mal ganis for the mount, when you approach the end where mal ganis is, if still inside the timer go left instead and go to the end of that pathway there is a dragonkin there that you have to kill, and he drops the mount.
