So what you're saying is that you agree with everyone on every point, except on whether or not you agree with us?
Or, more specifically, you've continued the fight for this long because all of the people who have the same ideas as you think they fall into a differently arbitrarily named category?

Or, perhaps, the way you're explaining things is worded in such a manner that I misinterpret it?
Even I
understood it. Come on man.

My morality is unity. All my actions should bring more together than they push apart.

Could someone who thinks most of their views are not in agreement with my views, tell me an action they think would be completely immoral?

Intentional Patricide/Matricide
Intentional Pedophilia
Completely
immoral? No. I think self-defence is a valid justification for the former, and the latter depends how you define child, your relationship to them and where it happens.
Trying to justify pedophilia. Wow. It has nothing to do with how you "define" a child, a child is a child, a minor, someone who isn't old enough to !@#$ing consent. And no, don't you dare try and tell me that how old a child is to consent is subjective.
Well then why is the age of consent different all over the country. I think that whether a twelve year old is too young is pretty universal (or should be), but in some states it's 16, 17, 18. I think for someone who is 17, it's less of a black and white issue.

Those ARE minors. A minor is someone who has not legally reached adult age. That's the definition of that word when used in this context (I know word definitions are sometimes tough for you). Legally, anyone under the age of 18 is a minor. In some states, the age of legal consent is lower than others, but usually it's somewhere around 16-18. So there are states where it is considered statutory rape to have sex with a 17-year old.
Clearly, YOU don't consider those minors. The law in some places does. How do you account for the discrepancy if the age of consent is not up for debate?

Elhonna, this is a discussion about morality, not legality. How do you morally define minor? I think the more accurate question, is how do you determine someone who is old enough to make an informed decision about consentual sex, and I think that varies from person to person. Based on the discussion about "love" in the "Involved with a problem" thread, I think that age is close to 35 for some.

Lol- I might agree with your cutoff- there are some people who, as adults, I think are still not mature enough for sex.
And I agree that it can vary from person to person, and also by circumstance (is the difference between a 15-year old and her 16-year old criminal, or only between her and her 30-year old neighbor, for example).
But Soldrethar's arguments are always that there is always an unconditional answer to moral questions, and there are no such things as qualifiers, or circumstances, or varying answers depending on the person/situation. So I'm trying to head that off.
