This has become quite heated since I last looked at it! My thoughts on Mr/Ms Boron's contributions are these; my example is general, and could be applied to many people in many lands.
"I have a wife, and several children. We have a small plot of land that we have to work from morning to night to get a crop, but nature is not always kind to us. We also have to walk to fetch and carry all our water, but we keep having to go further, because a big company set up an x plant, so the water we used to get nearby, you cannot drink or you will get sick. We also have to gather wood for the fire, but everybody else has to do the same, so we have to walk further to gather any wood at all, and the places where forests used to be are now palm oil plantations for company y to make cheap food for richer people.
We have to live on less than $1.25 a day. This is not what that amount of US dollars would buy where we live, but what you could buy with the same amount where you live. My children cannot go to school, because that costs money that we do not have. Even if we had the money for that, we would need to pay somebody else to do the necessary work that they contribute so that we can live. More money that we do not have. Sometimes we get sick, and we have to pay for that too, so there is still no extra money.
Sometimes, if we all work really hard, and nature is kind, we get a decent crop. Then men with guns and machetes arrive and steal it. I have only farm tools, and an ancient rifle with a few bullets that I can use to get some meat, if I am lucky. It is not often, because bullets cost money, so if I am not sure of a kill, I cannot shoot. Against well armed men, it is useless and stupid to resist: me against them...
The gangsters, the army men, and the government people are always demanding money and goods from us. Sometimes, a delivery of food arrives from the rich countries, so I don't have to worry so much about feeding my family, and I can try to save some money for medical bills, repairing our tools, and getting next years seed. Sometimes, I am not quick enough, and there is none left. Sometimes, I get some, but it is stolen.
I want to rise up against these cruel, injust people. I want my children to be able to read, write and count, so they can use an iPhone. I want to be able to earn a decent living from our land so we can afford an iPhone, and solar panels to charge it. Then, maybe, we could communicate with people who are as fed up as us, and change something, without all being massacred, tortured and raped.
A friend of mine told me that somebody in a rich country told us that we were lazy. Try working a field in the blazing heat, thinking of your children carrying water when they should be at school, and say lazy one more time. He said that the person said that we deserved our fate because we did not rise up. I could rise up, indeed I want to, but if I die a noble death, who will feed my family, even if they do not burn our village in reprisals? My children are 2, 5 and 8 years old. My wife is 38. Will this rich person come and do the work I do in my stead, and in his spare time teach everybody how to improve their situation properly please? If so, I am free to shoot the local warlord, knowing that he will protect the village."
A revolution, of any kind, starts with a full belly, and the means to communicate.

Invisible Children is the new Ronald McDonald house. Less than half of their proceeds actually go to their cause. If an organization doesn't contribute at least half, preferably 75% or more, of their proceeds to whatever cause they are aiming for, it is not worth my time or money. I would even go as far as saying they aren't a good organization in the first place for using so much of that money for themselves, but that's not my place to judge.
Here's a tip: if the organization has really good professional advertising, like a 30 minute viral video for example, chances are they wasted the donated money to crank out that garbage.

@MyTie That is a bit over the line in terms of insulting, imo.
Gamer knows me well enough to know that it wasn't an insult.
You really wouldn't need to know me at all, for that matter. It simply wasn't insulting. You all need to get off the whining and crying about "insulting" people. Unless I call someone a %^&*ing idiot $%^&head, a &*!@#$ $%^& faced @#$% hole bloody &*!@#$, then I'm not insulting someone. Telling someone they need to stop idolizing someone isn't an "insult", nor anything close to it. You all seem to believe that if something is said that is a criticism of someone, that it is an insult. Go back and look at my post, and see if I said anything about him personally. No? Didn't think so.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##Well, I think the post to which Boronidze refers was off-topic and pointless. Not ad hominem but clearly a logical fallacy where instead of addressing the point you attack the reference. It's a cheap shot that only serves to derail the discussion.
This post however really is starting to cross the line. Again it's a completely off topic rant against something wholly unrelated to the discussion. This time, however, you're adding the person you quote to a group ("You all") and insulting that group ("whining and crying"). No you don't have to use all those filtered words for what you say to be an insult.
I suggest that you either take part in the discussion that's going on or completely refrain from posting.

ON TOPIC:
This whole
Kony thing
is just another example of Christians running around brutalizing the world. This "Lord's Resistance Army" is just another example of the trend that Christians are setting. Their violence started well before the Crusades, and continues even today. Go to your local church and picket them! We shouldn't stand for Christianity any longer. This is the last straw!(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##Don't double post. You can use the edit button to add further information if nobody has replied.

Well, ain't that good news.
I'm not entirely sure how his behaviour doesn't come under the realms of "Public indecency". Police are very odd about whom they choose to arrest.

Indeed. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you're put under
"a severe emotional toll"
.
