Return to board index

Note that \ is supposed to work (I considered such tags as "links"), so I'll fix it.
I will also obviously fix the filter by patch, thanks for catching that.
Great feedback so far. Keep it going.

The only problem I see here (or dont see) is the change to highest rated comments losing the green text, though I suppose if they are always at the top.
Also I wonder how this will effect the addon
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7017-LightHeaded.html
will top voted comments still appear first in line in game?

I don't know. You would have to ask the addon's author.

Overall the changes are nice.
I do think replies to comments need to stick out a little more, however.

"They are not considered "comments" by the system, so they don't give reputation, achievements, etc."
INvShika
would probably like a word about that one ;)
The new voting system is currently only on the Test version of Wowhead, not the Live one that you are linking from.
There does not appear to be a way to down vote (or delete) reply's to comments - is this working as intended, or did I miss something?
This is intended, you can only upvote replies, not downvote them.

I think it's impossible to link to a specific page of the test website :S

==> This was http:// test . wowhead . com, but it converts it automatically to the live website, :(

If you wrote the reply (or you are a mod) you can delete it. It's intended that there is no "vote to delete" feature and that they can't be downvoted. Replies are meant to be very simple and "plain".

I have to agree having the colored comments is just easier to read.

If someone leaves a rubbish reply you can just leave it be -- it takes up next to no space, and if other replies have a higher rating and there are more than 5 replies it will be hidden by default.
Now if there are a lot of replies that are REALLY bad/abusive (such as advertising for a website, insulting, etc) we're open to change our approach -- but I don't see this happening.
The nice thing about them is that, regardless of their number (5 or 10000), they always take up very little page space. So we can afford to be more tolerant than comments regarding their content.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Koper##DELIM##

Are you really planning on having comments not ordered by date?
How will one be able to tell which comments refer to old content and which ones refer to current content then?
Cheers.

After expanding, how do you collapse the replies?

The default listing is in order of rating, but you can still select it to list them on date if you desire.

•Upvoting now requires 125 reputation and downvoting requires 250 reputation. Before, both required 150.
Thanks!
•Moderators can now make a comment "STICKY" which makes it appear on top and colors it green.
Thats alot of work for you guys :(

I'd imagine that it's the same as reporting a topic for sticky. You send a report off, saying you want this comment to be a sticky, the mods take a look at it, and if it's a good comment, they sticky it.

Just so you're aware, the "Filter by patch:" option does not work when I pick a patch.
Otherwise, I really do like the new layout. Very clean and doesn't take up as much space! :)
