Character:
Doctor Victor Konovalov
Location:
Arathi Highlands
Victor had walked all night, paranoia fueling his insomnia driven march. He dared not sleep near the road for fear of the trolls who occasionally wandered about or any unexpected surprises from Blackmoore's armies still wandering about. When he finally reached Stromguard his eyes were red rimmed from lack of sleep, his ragged coat from the fall the previous day, bandages from cutting his own face, clawed hand, and suitcase with a shirt sleeve peeking out the corner gave him the look of a madman.
When he introduced himself as a doctor in his thick accent this had only earned him further wary looks and the whispered word 'mad scientist'. However when he was eventually admitted and upon inquiring for possible work they pointed him in the direction of the orc market.
"Hie yie yie." Victor grumbled as he plodded in the direction the guard had pointed, suitcase dragging slightly behind him as he navigated the crowded streets of humanity.

Dennis swiped his hand in front of his face and looked up as the clerk motioned him to follow him. "Be back in a bit." He said and followed the other human. Tae watched him go then turned to look at Mel. "The music was just something I create from my soul." He said and shrugged. "I don't know if it's good or not; we of the Quel'dori enjoy our music."
"As for why we fight the Trolls; we've been at war with them ever since our people founded our lands. The Trolls were there first..." He trailed off, not sure how to put several thousand years of history into some simple sentences.

"No, it's not. Our people were exiled from our original lands; we created a new homeland in the lands claimed by the Amani, and drove them off....till they came back and we needed the help of the Human Nations." Tae said and looked at Mel. "What do you know of the founding of Dalaran?" He asked, changing topic.
Inside the building, Dennis was filling out some forms to be sent around about the orc.
We're going to make a killing off of this.
He thought with a grin, as he finished the last page of the report and handed it over to the clerk. "Make sure the right people get those." He said, and sauntered back towards the wagon.

"Close but not exactly; before Dalaran was founded, there were the Troll Wars, where the Arathor Empire fought with the High Elves, and we offered to teach 100 humans our magic. They were the start of what would be Dalaran." Tae gently corrected Mel. "From there, we broke the forces of the Amani, till the 2nd War, when the Trolls joined with the Orcs...and found out to their dismay that was a bad choice." Tae said. "But yes, there are ley-lines under the city."

"It did indeed." Tae agreed nodding. He shrugged. "I really don't know Mel." He said honestly. They both looked up as Dennis approached, a wide grin on his face as he walked up to them. "Well, the information is spreading, so we'll end up getting some nibbles soon." Dennis said as he took a seat near the wagon. "So, we just wait now." The Gilnean said.

"We can't leave here Mel; we need to stay for when the bidding starts. But if you are hungry, just go back to the Silk Arms, tell them you are on Tae'sash's tab, and everything will be alright." Dennis told the young man as he stretched out on the wagon's bench and pulled a piece of cloth over his eyes, relaxing. Tae chuckled as he took a seat on a nearby barrel and leaned against the wall of the broker building.

Character:
Ava Killian
Location:
Dalaran
Ava is a one hundred and twenty two year old high elf who has an obsession with books. Rather than spend her time practicing and taming her magical aptitude as her father wished, Ava spent her time indulging on books in the grand libraries of Silvermoon City. Because of her bookish nature, she has a vast array of knowledge of most anything magical. Whenever Ava is faced with a problem, she turns to books or her logic for the answer. While she does a few simple spells, her magical abilities are lackluster--though she does carry with her a great magical affinity.
Her body is shaped like a typical female high elf. She is tall--5'6''--and slender with brilliant azure eyes that almost glow in the dark. Ava has long blonde hair that she keeps in a high, tight ponytail--though it always has the occasional strands of hair that falls in to her face.
Her family was killed by a band of Blackmoore's troops, and thus dislikes he and his ideals. She has not announced any loyalties though, and would rather not bear grudges.
"Cures for Magical Maladies,"
Ava whispered under her breath, reading the title of a dusty tome. She carefully pulled it off the ivory bookshelf, and began flitting through the torn pages. It had obviously seen better days, but it was still legible, and from what Ava could tell, held valuable information inside.
She added it to a large stack of books, placing it on top of
Essence of Magic: The Arcane.
Through much effort, she lifted the stack of books, and carried it to the front counter.
"Will that be all Miss Killian?" the librarian asked. Ava nodded, checked out her books, and was off, struggling to carry the books through the busy streets of Dalaran.

Once Mel was out of sigh, Dennis spoke up. "She's going to break his heart...and you'll break a few more hearts before we're gone won't you Tae?" The Gilnean said, eyes still hidden by the cloth. "Hush; he's young and experienced Dennis, don't tease him when he returns." Tae said, as he pulled his legs up into a lotus position. "As for what I do; ignore it. I always leave them a large amount of gold as tips when I leave." He said, and settled back, then summoned his music magic again as they waited for someone to respond.

Victor groaned. He had found the market easily enough, but whoever he was supposed to speak to in order to discuss employment was proving most elusive. Sighing, he looked for someone to ask for directions, spotting a cart several yards away. Trotting through the crowd, Victor waved his flesh hand to garner their attention.
"Hello! I vas vondering if hyu could..." Victor trailed off, dropping his hand limply when he spotted precisely who was in the cart.
The pair he had encountered on the road and who had mowed down the Blackmoore soldiers chasing him.
"Ho demn." He whimpered.

Tae looked over at the sound of someone speaking and his head tilted.
Why did he say damn?
The High Elf wondered before settling his face into a neutral expression. "Can I help you sir?" He asked, and flicked his finger at Dennis, sending a small burst of wind to wake him up. The Gilnean grunted as he sat up and pulled the cloth off his eyes and looked around bleary. "Huh? What's going on?" He mumbled as he yawned, then waved as he saw Mel approaching.

Ava, with the help of a little magic, entered her home carrying the large stack of books. She hastily set them on her kitchen counter, and slumped down in to a wooden chair. Her breath was heavy, and her arms tired.
With as little effort as possible, she reached over for
Herbs: Look Before You Eat!
, and began to read the pages of the large book.
