Blizzard has stated that they have plans to do this in the near future, though if the PTR is any indication it may not be coming with 4.2.

Wait a moment... the crafted weapon item levels are all
365
- halfway between T11 359 and T11 372 heroic items, while the crafted armour will all be item level 378. Replacing both my 359 weapons with hypothetical 365s will probably benefit me no more than a single extra gem.

That's actually a good catch. So what we're seeing here is the armor gets the 359s and the weapons get 346s (to use a recent gear level bracket).
Well, I imagine my druid who's still stuck using a 346 dagger will get something nice out of it. I feel kind of sorry for anyone who managed a raid weapon in T11 and was hoping to upgrade before raiding Firelands.

These items weren't intended for you. That is, for people who raid. If you already have a 359 item there will be no need to get one of these. Yes. It's clear that that Blizzard would not be intending the new weapons to be used by people who have gone through much of the current content. This is at odds with the rest of the crafted gear though, which definitely
does
appear to be intended for raiders, since it's level 378, and necessitates raid drops to craft it. I caught myself ass-u-me'ing that all the new craftable gear would all be of the same item level.
Perhaps the enhancement shammies can't complain too much though, 'cos our current BiS off-hand is BoE as is our 2nd-best main hand, and both dropped from raid trash. And they were no more expensive on the AH than the new craftable weapons will be.
I used the same 219 weapon while in cat or bear form, Marrowstrike, for more than a year. The 232 items was essentially the same and I never did get the 251 quest item to drop for me.Marrowstrike was insanely good. My hunter's first LK encounter was with Marrowstrike. Only a 251 weapon provided any kind of upgrade.

So they didn't listen to us engineers after all ...it seems we are keeping our cool goggles on for the rest of the xpac ('cept the switch to ugly tier helms for important fights of course).

Hey Blizzard. It's been seven years. When will you stop shorting balance druids on gear? You have certainly never figured out our stat weights for gear, but at least give us something!

The hole puncher has superior ranged DPS but slightly inferior AGI compared to the Kickback 5000, so for hunters its a nice gun but I don't know about rouges
