I rerolled my party in Divinity again, to optimize them better and make better use of the crafting system (which I have only mastered recently), and now I am just breezing through fights. Where before I used to die with at least one party member, now I kill whole groups of enemies without them ever touching me.
Summoning oil is an amazing spell. It slows the enemies, which is huge, and if you have a fiery terrain to connect the oil patch to, it also gets ignited, and sets the enemies on fire. Even better, you can cast it wherever, even if your view is obstructed. Best offensive spell to cast from the other side of a smoke screen.
Also I found out that summoning a fire elemental to tank the stupid melee fire revenants is ridiculously effective... because they heal him with their attacks.
EDIT:
So the Deus Ex fan page posted this list of
top 25 RPGs
on Facebook. I think it is a solid list, but I would have definitely ordered the games differently. I decided to give it a shot, even. I only picked games from the list I linked, and do not list those that I haven't played.
The Witcher 2
Fallout: New Vegas
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Pokemon X/Y
Divinity: Original Sin
Mass Effect 3
Bastion
Skyrim
Shadowrun Returns
Bravely Default
Mass Effect 2
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age: Origins
Diablo 3
Torchlight 2
Path of Exile
It was fun to re-order.

Bravely Default ranked 10? o.0
Never mind, but stillllll. 10th? The second half of the game is so flawed <_<

Well, try giving it a shot yourself. :P It is tough when you try not to put multiple games on a single spot.

Hey Thror, have you played Transistor?
Yeah. Not much, though. I am pretty bad at the combat system. I feel so powerless compared to how I wrecked stuff back in Bastion, with my crazy Breaker Bow skills. One of these days, I am gonna get into it a bit more. Mostly focusing on Divinity with a bit of Watch Dogs and Borderlands 2 on the side.
edit: Well actually, I got like two hours deep, and judging by the reviews I have read, that might be kinda far in the storyline already.

Where to begin with reordering the games from the list of top 25 rpgs? I would suggest you begin with writing the games down, and then reorder them by your personal preference.

You should try and finish it. The combat system is a bit more in depth, but once you get the hang of it you can generally wreck stuff (until you have to improvise again).
It's a fantastic game, and I personally would replace Bastion with it on that list.

Darkest Dungeon
- hell yeah!
I was obsessed with it for a good while a few years back, though I'm yet to try the Color of Madness DLC since I reached a saturation point right before they released it. But what a great freakin time it is! Even if it's based on RNG a lot, good planning will get you through unscathed and it definitely gets easier as you go.
I'm having mixed feelings about the sequel, though, at least for now...
