The Taurajo Massace

Let's look at the horrendous war crime the Alliance did in the Southern Barrens. Camp Taurajo, a small hunter's camp with almost no defenses. The Alliance decided to walk in, try and kill everyone, and still clamor "The Horde is evil!". I mean really, for all their talk of being "heroes", those in the Alliance are really no better than what they make the Horde out to be.

It's not like it's not been discussed to death before or anything. Oh, not to mention, it's not like Stonetalon got nuked. No, not at all.

It's war. This is war. In war, there are casualties. In war, nobody cares whether your town is defenseless
especially
if the town is still helping the war effort, which Taurajo was.
Do you think Taurajo was unfair? Look at Ashenvale. Ashenvale
is
rightfully Kaldorei forest, and the Horde are tearing it down. They're bombarding Astraanar and decimated Maestra's Post.
Is that fair? I didn't think so.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Just did Southern Barrens today on my new holy cow.

Yes, people die in war, but outright massacre is not acceptable under any circumstances.

I do appreciate Hawthorne's intentions, though, even if his methods ending up going crappily.

The Horde outright massacred night elves. Not acceptable. :)

And the alliance massacered taurens. Not acceptable.
Turajo was a chokepoint for thunder bluff, just like Ashenvale is for exodar and darnassus.

Exactly. I'm not saying Taurajo was right, I'm not saying anything like that all. But the Alliance aren't the only monsters in this war.

That whooshed. She was saying that both sides are ruthless and it's a war.

True, I was just taking a pot shot before your love of the hippies got the better of you.
Also, can I bring up the fact that not only was Ashenvale much more millitary then civillian killings, but the Night Elves themselves are far more violent then the Tauren?
Stonetalon, however, was comepletely out of left field. I mean, I can only imagine that did more harm then good.

Ashenvale is a whole country, Taurajo was a major point one a supply line. Both had military purposes, but it's comparing apples to oranges.

And let us not forget Stonetalon. Those were not military casualties.

Not to mention that the Tauren may be more peaceful, but Taurajo was still helping with the Horde war effort, which makes them just as guilty, if not more.

Hmpf, not like I mentioned Stonetalon in the first reply to the thread or anything.
Anyway, I'll say this before we go in circles or this thread dies and the OP never returns:
The developments in the Barrens, the war in Kalimdor et cetera have been established for around six months now. We, as a community, have had plenty of time to discuss it. It's fine to weave in examples, if you want to discuss and analyse the increasing military tensions or advances as a whole of the Horde or Alliance or whatever other faction, but to leave as a standing topic is unnecessary. However, this shouldn't he misinterpreted as hostility towards the original poster, we're just saying that this has been discussed and specific examples like this, with only a short opening post with little content or effort, deserve in the stickied thread General Lore Discussions.
I feel like a lecturer there, ugh....

The Draenei had nothing to do with any of this. They're just peaceful space aliens :)
Real Answer: The discussion between whether the Horde or Alliance are evil is rather simple; both are equally evil, and have done equally evil things.
Except for the Draenei, their whole race is about being the only "good Eredar".

You cannot compare Southshore to Taurajo. The two are nothing alike.
