Intro
The Burning Legion is a vast army, known and feared throughout the twisting nether. Entire galaxies have fallen in their wake; it is amazing anything is beyond their territory. But like all good stories, this one needs a shimmering light in the dark; a last line.
Earth is a planet found in the deepest, most lifeless corner of the universe. It has long been hidden away where no one, not even the Legion, would think to look. Its people are blissfully unaware of the terrible evil that has chewed away at the rest of the universe, believing themselves alone in the blackness. What a silly thought, alone in a space without limits…
But the Burning Legion did look, they looked at a planet so perfectly suited to grow and produce. A planet so useful and full of potential servants.
A planet too good to pass up…
Earth
Earth is a world divided. Many governments control may sections.
Most of Europe is aligned under one government, the UNM (United New Monarchy); a group of figurehead leaders.
North and South America, with the exception of Cuba, all seem to answer to the USA’s government.
Cuba and North Korea, secluding themselves from the rest of the world, have an uneasy alliance.
The middle east has also settled for an uneasy alliance, working together and pushing out intruding countries.
Russia and China are both large and independent.
Japan and many of the ocean islands, such as the Philippines, are working together in recovering from the massive tsunami a year ago.
Africa is much as it is today, as are many smaller countries.
The Legion
The Burning Legion has set up shop on two of out planets in the Sol System. Pluto and Mars are connect by demonic portals, warships are being built, reinforcements are arriving, and the invasion is prepared.
The largest question seems to be how prepared the Legion seems. Spies on earth have delivered their gifts to many humans, known as Envoys, in hopes these people shall join the Legion. Envoys receive demonic gifts in the form of weapons, powers, or even a new demonic form.
Timeline
(This will be filled throughout the RPG, think of it as a way to sum up what we know.)
62 million BC; A meteor crashes into Earth, killing off the dinosaurs.
Modern humans begin to develop.
3100 BC; Egyptian society begins, advancing quickly.
Polytheistic religions rule, many depicting images of multiple gods, many locked in combat with forces of evil.
0 AD; Christianity and other monotheistic religions suddenly begin and spread quickly.
Jesus Christ dies, many believing him to be the messiah.
Religious tales of battles between a single god and evil forces with armies being lead become popular.
1900s; A crash occurs in Roswell, New Mexico. Although later disproved as a weather balloon, conspiracy theorists believe bodies were recovered, leading to a mass of UFO sightings commonly disproved.
2000s; Religious tensions in the world rise, and a popular theory about an oncoming “end of days” begin to show up. 2012 is believed to be the last year for humanity.
December 2012; Present day…

Fal'lok
Pluto
The doomguard watched the stars. How long had he been in command here, he wondered. Far too long, the demon knew that much. The massive beast sighed, its red skin rippling as it awaited reinforcements.
So long... it always took so long for them to arrive. Fal'lok didn't care though. The invasion would begin tomorrow, he was tired of waiting.
Logan
Earth
Logan pushed his door open, the dingy apartment greeting him the same way it always did. Small and stuffy, but it was his. His laptop whirred on the desk, seemingly his only roommate. He turned it on, checking responses to his "End of the World Party."
Tomorrow was the day the world supposably ended. He had the night off, and had invited tons of people to a party. Real life friends, WoW guildmates, and even a ton of people from Wowhead. In truth, he wasn't sure what to believe about the end of the world, but he knew his pary was gonna be kicking.

Jerzak Hellwielder/Søren the Betrayer
Pluto
Jerzak was once a space marine from a far distant planet, then he was caught in a solar storm. Desperately in need of help, he accepted help from the Burning Legion, in exchange for service. His men joined him, eventually leaving him with a dedicated tank squad and two squads of marines like himself. He's tall, at least 7 1/2 feet, and wears a suit of power armor, engraved
with black runes.
Søren was an officer on the ship when he was corrupted. He became a sorceror, gaining black magic. They now come to assist the Legion. He's around 5'8", wears long black hair and a goateee.
Jerzak's lander slowly touched down, and he stepped off, followed by Søren. Behind him marched his squads. "Greetings," he said to the doomguard, giving a sweeping bow.

Fal'lok
Pluto
Fal'lok smiled. "Greetings." He replied, several Legion ships appeared in the sky. Elongated, flat ships with massive green flames firing out the rear engines. They also touched down, opening and letting demons off.
The doomguard nodded. "I think we might finally put an end to this little thorn in the Legions side." He told the Jerzak. "All their defenders are gone, and I doubt we have much to fear from such a... technology based race."

Pluto
"Indeed," Jerzak replied. "Although there may be something to fear from those... Christians, and Islams I believe they call themselves. They appear to worship the Light, my only weakness." He turned and spat on the ground. "Either way, we have them. There's no escape."

Fal'lok
Pluto
"Their light?" Fal'lok laughed. "Their light is weak, their faith is often fake. Of those who actually believe it, few can wield it. Many used it for parlor tricks; water to wine and all that." The doomguard nodded. "One parted an entire sea with it, but I haven't seen anything like that is a long time."

"Our entrance might cause one to rise," Jerzak replied. Søren chuckled.
"The answer is simple then," the sorcerer spoke for the first time. "Attack their places of worship. Kill them all before they can rise, then deal with the so called 'military' that will rise against us."

Fal'lok thought for a moment, waving his hand and causing a migcal globe to appear. He began to mark several spots. "Rome... Mecca...." He muttered, listing off the spots he marked.

Logan
New York
Logan smiled as he watched Lightnstuff come online on Wowhead. He finished his invitation post and hit post, popping it onto the Lore and Roleplay forum for all to see.
He leaned back, sipping his coffee.
