DK tank joins in Full 371 PvP gear.
No one kicks him or even complains because they're desperate for a tank.
Ironically, he only died 3 times. Thanks 15% healing buff!

Worst experience ever had to be when I tanked a dungeon with a Holy Paladin DPS who didn't seem to know how to turn off
Righteous Fury
. Luckily he was doing so little damage it wasn't too big of a problem holding aggro.
Holy isn't a DPS spec. Having RF tapped on shouldn't make a difference, because it would require out-dps'ing the tank, and if that was possible, the tank should be the first one to get kicked anyway.

Needs some context here, but even in ZA/ZG, I'd LOVE to have a 371 itemlevel tank, even with PvP gear. And since we are talking heroics, it can't really be worse than either of these two dungeons, which are very easy with a tank that well geared, even if they lose out on 1 of the secondary stats on their gear.
Or are you saying that 371 itemlevel is worse than 346 itemlevel'd tanks with dps pieces here and there, and neither reforges, gems or enchants? Because that's the standard tanks I seem to get, all the time. With the added 30 % chance that the tank either ignores all messages from his party, or simply doesn't understand the English language, and we're rolling. I usually drop after just 1 wipe if I don't get a response from the tank. Bonus points if he doesn't even release, but just waits around, waiting to get a ress - double that bonus if all he types, regardless of our attempt to communicate with him, is "rezz plz". It just isn't worth the repair bill, nor the time wasted, trying to communicate with someone whose apparent intelligence is about that of a rock.
Really, from the posts here on Wowhead, I can't help but think I must have some really terrible luck, or you guys just get the most awesome groups in the world. Complaining about itemlevel 371 in a heroic? Really?

EDIT: Nevermind. I suck at reading comprehension.
You've got a point, Trishi, and you're not alone in the aspect that you get PvP heroes trying to tank a dungeon.
I'd rather have a guy with a mix of DPS and tanking pieces than someone in full gladiator pvp set trying to tank and fail.
Don't get me wrong, I don't encourage people to use PvP gear. I just prefer to look at his actual performance, and judge based on that. For all I care, the tank could be wearing green Cloth items - if he can keep aggro and take a healable amount of damage somehow, I really couldn't care less how good his gear is.
The only reason you should be wary of people with PvP gear is, that quite a few PvP'ers I know, got little to know idea on how tanking works. I've had a PvP Prot Warrior from my guild ask what a Taunt is, during a full guild run with the RDF. That's bad, and what's worse, if they don't know how to tank properly, their gimped gear will only make them even harder to heal.
I'm mostly saying this, because I've had tanks with an itemlevel of about 370-something, full PvE tank gear, who dished out insane amounts of dps, but got killed ridiculously fast. Tactics were apparently a term that didn't exist in this guys head, and that's what I was trying to make a point of - If you know the tactics, and got a respectable level of gear, it really doesn't matter much if it's PvP or PvE gear. And this is from a healer's PoV. I really can't see why a DPS should care about a tank using improper gear. If he can hold threat (And he damn better be, with the insane amounts of threat generation every tank has these days) why bother complaining? If the healer complains, you should always support the healer - otherwise, keep your QQ'ing to yourself.

True enough, it's just that I've had the misfortune of having to team up with random PvP-geared folks in DPS spec signing up as tank and then wonder why they are taking insane amounts of damage.
Frost DKs in Frost Presence.
Lol, noobs, Frost is for tanking, blood is for dps. How long have you played this game?
Reading Patch Notes (Or tooltips, for that matter) is hard, yes?

I'll never forget the DK tank I once had that jumped and circled around the boss for the entire fight, which was a pain for me since my best attack had to be from behind the boss.
PvP tactics are not the same as PvE tactics...
Or worse, Tanks who kite bosses so the boss' back is completely covered with fires/crap/stuff you will likely die from standing in, making it impossible to do optimal dps.
Not only do some classes rely on being behind the target - all melee benefit from being behind whatever they are attacking. Assasination Rogues got a small issue with not being able to backstab when the boss is near death, and Ferals are getting screwed over big-time. Not being able to use Shred, our hardest hitting attack, very often equals to a very significant dps loss. Our guild healers, me included, generally accept guildees who stand in crap because of a horrible PuG tank. I'd much rather have to powerheal a dps, and slack a bit on the tank to do it, only because the tanks ALWAYS, no exception, starts typing "heal me." "healer!" or similar, when I start to throw Flash Heals to 2 different DPS', but neglect our tank. He never dies, but he is
always
close. I find it's a good way of punishing the tank :P

EDIT: Somehow, I've found druid tanks to be the most capable. I've had a guy tank a dungeon - before the threat change, mind you - with normal dungeon gear and a mix of the odd craftable. Just enough so he could enter a heroic, and there was absolutely no freakin' way I could've pulled aggro off of him. It was insane.
Having done some fun-tanking on a Paladin (For the Lulz) and tanked quite a bit on my Feral, as well as main-tanking on my DK, I can say that Threat have never been an issue for 3 out of 4 of the tanks. And from what I've seen, Warriors isn't exactly lacking behind, either The threat change seems pretty pointless, maybe except for initial threat, which is still an issue if people throw up CDs and various combos, the moment the mob is aggro'd(Not nessesairly attacked), boss or not.
And we can't really expect Blizzard to Patch away stupidity, no matter how amazing and gameplay improving that might be.

They keep patching stupidity over and over.
I'm not really seeing the difference then :/

8k DPS warrior in a ZA/ZG...

Would be the tank who frequently taunted off my imp in ahn'kahet. No gems, no enchants, no shield and an intel weapon, "for his spells". Couldn't even kick the bastard.
Solution: Amazing healer, went demo and tanked the dungeon myself.
Uhh... sorry for asking this but... Ahn'Kahet? Like in... the Wrath Dungeon? No gems, and no enchants, and that's bad, because...?
I understand the issue with no shield and an intelligence weapon. But gems and enchants were by no means needed for Wrath dungeons. Seriously, Wrath was too easy for that. My newly dinged Feral back then could faceroll any heroic wipeless. It was ridiculously easy, even Ahn'kahet, with it's insane spell damage flying around. And I was wearing a few odd normal pieces, and quest greens...

Somehow I'm already desperate to get a PuG tank, who doesn't tank Venoxis with his back in the green gas at his spawn point. Yelling "move a bit further from the green crap pl0x, can't dps" doesn't help.

LOLUMAD.
In all seriousness as a fresh dinged 85 with wrath trinkets 10k unbuffed is trivially easy.
If you're only doing 8k in a zandalari, which requires a 346 ilvl btw, then you're doing something glaringly wrong.
