Neck pains are annoying because they're so slow at going away. A headache at least "flips off" a while after you nuke it, as annoying as it might be 'till it does.
Had a shot at Rift, it's surprisingly decent as far as PvE goes. T2 experts (experts are the equivalent to heroics divided into two tiers the more difficult of which somewhat unsurprisingly provides more challenge, better loot and more currency rewards) were amazing fun and I really enjoyed the fact that they're all full of don't-stand-in-the-fire type oneshot mechanics.
One specific example is a boss that periodically charges the party member furthest away twice in a row with a ~1second delay inbetween and does ~75% of their hp in damage each time, group I ran with dealt with it by having the person furthest away (me) stand right behind someone else and then jump forwards on the first charge so the second hit the other guy. After that it only took something like 10 more attempts and two people changing their spec to kill it! Sub is still active but cancelled, mainly because I know so few playing it and PvP being pretty bad at the moment though.
I'd certainly say it's the best attempt at a WoW killer at least in the west so far (loose impression that Aion stabilised on far higher subs in Asia than it did in Europe where it is comparable-to-a-bit-above to WAR at it's post-rush height perhaps, but I never bothered to check the numbers; I've often heard it held against Aion that even "westernised" to some extent it was still far too grindy for these parts which sounds plausible enough to me who tried it but know little about the Asian MMO market otherwise). Guild Wars 2 is getting pretty hyped for the next big thing (also by people who've played it, not that that tends to say much as far as these things go), but we'll see.
(Back) in WoW I'm currently (slowly) gearing my
warrior
until an irl friend gears his offspec enough to make a decent partner for my Outland priest, otherwise enjoying other games (when I'm not IRL'ing, ofcourse!). Who knew BF1942 was still comparing so favourably to more modern fps games?
Also, Darksiders. Mmmmm. Great gameplay and more importantly,
cheesy dialogue
. Far too few games with cheesy dialogue these days. It's fiction, you're supposed to gloat before you pull your ace and blow the bad guy away!

Something in my neck is sprained/inflamed. Not sure which. In any case, I just spent about an hour in very hot bath after dosing myself up with ibuprofen and paracetamol. I feel marginally better.
Do you guys have Brufen over there in Pomgolia? Real strong Ibuprofen - 400mg per tablet! I never caught onto the whole luggage with wheels thing. I've always just hauled around the old school
army bag
, which saved a considerable amount of weight at the airport. Anyway, after returning from my last holiday about a month ago, I had the bag slung over my shoulder and ended up pinching a nerve. It was the most intense pain I'd ever felt in my life, and nowhere I moved my shoulder made it any less. So my sister gave me a packet of Brufen 400. I only ended up needing one, it got me high as a kite and made my shoulder completely numb.

Ooooh EPGP. I like that system.

Ooh nice, I haven't played Pokémon in a long time. Last I played was Pokémon Gold. I also played Yellow and Blue, but I was quite young at the time, so I was never completist, i.e. filling my Pokédex, getting a Pokémon to level 100 (without cheats!), getting a Mew (got one traded to me once).
Also never got a Dragonite :/ Should go get me an emulator!
Also, Brufen is only available via prescription here as well, I just remembered.

That's reassuring, in a way.
Did you ever play Pokémon Stadium on N64? I thought that game was pretty cool. I also had Pokémon Pinball for Gameboy. My highest score on that was something stupid like 9 billion.

'cause this was very much a case of offence being taken, not given.Happens far too often. Put it down to English being a really crappily designed language.

Gold and Silver were the best games in the series.
True. <3
Biggest problem was (is) how easy the game is to beat, possible exception of Red. However, after 16 badges the league is updated to level 58 minimum up to a (outch) level 75 Dragonite from Lance, and completelly new teams (Most of them keep 2-4 signature original team members and change the rest)
I'm on Heart Gold as well =P, the remake is pretty well-done (They barelly changed it, merelly added stuff - You can get 1 of each starter (!), can access Kanto legendaries (!), and there's a few contests and stuff (the usual gimmicks on newer games).
Gold&Silver were my limit on the "Catch'em all" stance; after that I didn't have the patience it took to really finish more than the league =P. Obviously I couldn't get that bastard Celebi, no wicked trick to bug the game like there was for mew (that I'm aware of) :(

@Sin: you asked the right question of the wrong person. That's a strong judgment underlying your "innocent" question. There are all sorts of potentially interesting answers, but you didn't open an inviting space in which to find out.
Also, 20 years later, Wayne's World is still an unreasonably awesome movie.

I've always quite admired the range of expression English is capable of despite being a, as far as I've understood these things, rather simple language. A personal observation that occurs to me now is that native speakers tend to have slightly more issues with ambiguity than fluent speakers coming from other languages. I've a long standing habit of investing at least a trace amount of either irony or sarcasm in nearly everything I say in any language (although rarely in, as Sinespe commented his own adventures, a belligerent manner) and I had to be a lot more careful with that when I lived in the UK because it could be interpreted as offensive even when people both lacked relation to the subject and knew very well how I meant what I said.
It's very possible that it's a matter of culture rather than linguistics (and in the following case probably a matter of British culture in particular, although I'm sure you ex-colony people can find some sympathy for the example) as there was a rather sharp such divide between people who tended to interpret it as offensive and people who didn't. The people on the side of the divide I didn't like did make for some amusement though, some of the verbal fencing matches I had with with the very authoritarian head of art teacher I had (who I actually respected for his intelligence if not much else) could've frosted the windows and had the side effect that one of his subordinates (a meek thing) barely dared look me in the eyes for the rest of the year I studied there and the other became rather forthcoming with various opinions that his superior wouldn't have liked at all, had he ever heard them. Ach, I digress.
To get back to my original point though, I can't recall ever having problems with expressing myself normally (without simplification) in English and being misinterpreted by people who were not native speakers from wildly varying backgrounds and places. I can recall at least a couple of times when someone has assisted with translation and how I meant things were clear even when what I said had to be translated.
The dyeing thing does seem a somewhat peculiar thing to take offence at, but I'm inclined to agree with Paolo. Any previous impression (by omission or otherwise) to the contrary aside, I tend to be pretty careful with statements of any kind. Only implying things intentionally is perhaps manipulative but it does enable you to avoid a few conversational trips methinks.
@donny: Design is perhaps a bit overkill as authorities on the matter can rarely do more than nudge languages in desired directions - I imagine that even languages that truly are designed (of which the only one with any amount of speakers to it that I know of would be Esperanto) tend to grow beyond the most careful consideration of their creators as people use it and cover the inevitable holes of vocabulary and expression with exceptions and loan words.
I actually have a habit of interjecting a few everyday English words speaking Swedish sometimes, but eh, that could be because the latter is an even worse language in some regards and because of my own familiarity with the former.
Why, look how yon topic gets me rambling! Good thing I don't know anything about Pokemon or I'd probably exceed some quota (because State Capitalism is so much better than Laissez-Faire in Victoria 2).
Now listening to
パフューム - スウィートドーナッツ
! I suspect that not knowing Japanese is a good thing in this regard from the small fragments of translated lyrics from their other songs that I've seen but until the day I learn it it'll remain frighteningly addictive.

Some of the others include: The Hunters Lodge, The Mages Table, The Sentry Totem (Shaman), The Cathedral of Light (Paladin), Roguedomness.
Ideas?

The Bubble is more universal. I was thinking "The Circle of Healing", but that alienates our shadowy brothers.
