I want to let all the gay, bi and trans people out there know that there is nothing wrong with them. They're just being opressed for reasons that are stupid beyond belief.
Hmmm... I agree with Azazel. I think that all the non-hetero people who have problems getting equal rights, that is horrible, and they should be allowed to do the same things as hetero people. I would also like to offer support to all the people who believe that homosexuality is wrong but get bashed for their beliefs. As long as you don't interfere with others, you should be allowed to believe what you want to believe.

And most of those believing that homosexuality is wrong are those blocking the non-hetero people from getting equal rights, by voting against equality laws.

Agreed. Like I've said: I disagree with laws that exclude homosexuals, polygamists, incest, etc, and at the same time, I disagree with laws that explicitly include homosexuals, polygamists, incest, etc. I think the law should say "Any consenting adult can marry any other consenting adult".
Society has cast this into such a black and white mold that you either have to approve of homosexuality, or have to fight against it, while at the same time you have to profess a middle ground. What is interesting is that whenever someone actually does support a middle ground, they are made into a villain. If you neither support homosexuality nor want to impede it, then you must hate homosexuals and hate traditional marriage. In the very least, each side expects you to compromise your views. The "right" wants you to compromise your wish not to impede homosexuals in order to support your view on marriage, and the "left" wants you to compromise your personal views on marriage in order to support their cause. What no one realizes is that each side of this fight, is discriminatory and bigoted. A bigot is someone who doesn't tolerate the views of others, and the right doesn't tolerate the left and the left doesn't tolerate the right.

...I wasn't asking for a sarcastic reply about the mechanics of online forums. I understand that people post in them, and I know that I also post in these threads. That much I get. My question (as if it were not clear) is why there is a fixation, not if there is a fixation.
I am aware of that, and I am pointing out that if you have your reasons for posting in these threads despite not being fixated on sexuality, those same reasons probably apply to everyone else as well. Your long explanation about how you personally are not fixated because you're happily married and sex is not new and so forth - it all implies you think the same is not true for others. I'm saying it presumably is. These threads are probably popular because controversial topics get the most conversation, not because anyone here is more fixated on sexuality than you are.
(I was also implying, apparently too subtly, that in many cases a thread lives on and on simply because two people present happen to have a deep disagreement about that particular topic, and that for many of the threads you're asking about one of those two people tends to be you.)
Now look back at your reply, and the part of my post that you quoted, and see if your reply is even relevant to what I said.
This kind of posturing isn't necessary, rereading my own posts is unlikely to change my opinion of them.

Yes, you were being far to subtle. I didn't get that at all. Thanks for your explanation.
I still insist that sexuality is brought up casually extremely often in off topic, and not in a debate atmosphere. Go back and read the RB, and see how far back you have to read to find a reference to sex or sexuality. It is prevalent.

And it's part of a daily every day life; people chat about it in all locations, you see it on the news and television shows, movies have it; it's just something that is part of the global consciousness now a days that something will cause a conversation to turn to sex or a sexual innuendo. If that bothers/annoys/perturbs you, maybe it's time to take another trip to the mountains.
