"Alaric Dalson, duelist. It matters little now, though, given the fact that soon you will call me 'baron'," the death knight replied in all seriousness, pressing his left fist against his chest in a greeting before hurling a death coil at James - with the same hand.

Alaric ignored the rapier in his arm, raising his left hand to grab Deathbane's wrist and thus intercept the second weapon.
"Scourflesh, didn't I order you to take care of the cannons? Scatter!" growled Alaric, his voice thundering across the square before returning to monotone. Obeying his order, the skeletal mages began shutting down the remaining cannons - to give them credit, a large portion of heavy weaponry had been already dealt with.
"It appears, James, that you do not understand what you have gotten yourself into," he smiled pleasantly and headbutted the duelist while his metal-covered knee slammed into the human's groin.
((Is James related to Russell? And will Russell make an appearance here?))

Alaric reluctantly let James's right hand go, closing his grip instead on the crusader's left fist and attempting the trick that had worked so well in the fight against Alexandros, i.e. crushing the weapon's hilt and the fingerbones. This move, however, was partly feint, since his left arm bent in half and released another death coil - only this time, at point blank range.
"Use frost magic, magi!" the death knight bellowed, apparently being able to duel with a crusader and command the troops at once. The mages began releasing blasts of frigid wind, making the smoke both condense and gather in a smaller area. The other troops scattered around the square, avoiding the meteors. Those smarter than other began hurling cobbles at the flamecaster.

Alaric pointed at the nearest ghoul, draining the unholy power fueling the lesser undead and healing his arm. The wound was not a severe one, so, after shuddering, the ghoul continued to hurl cobbles and dirt at the man in purple.
The death knight made a tentative hit, assessing the duelist's remaining forces. Unbeknownst to James, several zombies silently crawled up from behind, biding their time.
"Focus fire! Bring down the reckless wretch!" the baron commanded. The mages obeyed, showering the man in purple with frost and shadow spells.

Character: Scourflesh
Location: Stratholme
Scourflesh directed his spells at the man in purple, hurling spells as fast as he could. He wasn't sure how well he would fare, as he had only just become a mage today, and this human seems very experienced, but by the Nether, he would serve the Scourge however he could.

"What!" Sharith barked, hearing the crusaders accusations.
"Not a good time." Varyn informed her quickly, slamming his wrist monted healing injector into his neck and draining the last of the health potion.
I really hope that rogue didn't have anything contagious.
He thought before turning to flee towards lights hope chapel, Sharith giving one last glare before quickly following.

"Oh great, they're chasing us." Sharith hissed, glancing back to see several argent crusade soldiers break off from the group and give chase.
"Meet up at the chapel." Varyn told her quickly before he popped out of existence, his footprints fading as the now invisible mage quickly sidetracked onto harder ground to cover his tracks.
"Finally." Sharith whispered to herself before breaking into the trees, fading into the shadows as only night elves can. "He better not try and ditch me." She added as an afterthought before vanishing amidst the trees.

Characters: Varyn Brighthammer, Sharith Dawnbreeze
Location: Eastern Plaguelands
Sharith groaned in frustration from her perch in one of the trees branches at the Paladins words. Just when things were actually looking up. She mulled over her choices as she leaned against the tree, neither of which looked very good.
She could either kill the Paladin, which would not exactly earn her points with the Argent Crusade or take Varyn and find somewhere else they could procure a mount from to get to a harbour and then Darnassus.
If only the blasted mage was alligned with Darnassus he could just make us a portal.
Sharith thought regretfully. With a sugh she leapt to the next tree to find Varyn. It looked like they were going to have to lay low for awhile until the Argent Crusade stopped looking for them.
"Accursed complications, I blame sheepboy." She muttered darkly as she tried to track the invisible Varyn.
