best show on television is still the best show on television
In your opinion; best show on television for me is the longest running drama; Law & Order, nothing that's on right now is equal to that one.
gunsmoke is the longest running drama. Law & Order still has another year before it overcomes it.

heroes is a good show to compare lost too. Heros failed miserably where Lost succeeded. heroes had amazing potential, but it got shot to hell with poor writing, poor plot devices, and the writers strike.

there are numerous blogs posts forums and articles after every episode, however they have done a pretty fantastic job of answering questions this season that you honestly wouldnt expect answered

That's my biggest problem with the series, is that it tends to swing wildly between character drama and sci-fi rather than balancing the two. I love drama and sci-fi and I love it when they're together, but I do want genre consistency.
i was referring to the major questions that have been present throughout the series. It would be a pretty !@#$ poor show if it jumped from one major mystery, resolved it, then moved on to another. Scifi series that are written as they progress (see: heroes) tend to be vastly inferior to series that have a plan from day one (and more so, stick to that plan)
there are very few (only

I can think of) episodes of lost that arent character dramas that also progress the scifi mythology concurrently. Thats one of the reasons the show is so fantastic, the combination of the two genres is seamless
