HoR is one of the best because It has lots of lore in it. ToC has zero lore but is fast and not a cut&paste linear dungeon.
The troll instances are pretty stupid. I have no idea what are they about to be honest. You go in kill a bunch of trolls, some of them turn into animals, then you kill bunch of animals. It just doesn't make sense, but then again it's WoW.

Wow - has everyone blocked Sunken Temple from their memories? That place was to be avoided like the plague owing to the cluster of figuring out where the heck you were.
See, I don't mind ST at all. For one, I can level my skinning there like you wouldnt believe (lol), and 2, I know the dungeon well, so I don't get lost.
I never get lost in WC either for that matter. Or Gnomer. Only BRD. But I still love BRD.

TBC: No clue only did like one or two and then just quested to 68
WOTLK: Let's see... Old Kingdom, Halls of Stone, Oculus, Halls of Reflection, Halls of Lightning, Culling of Stratholme. Why?
OK: Long, stupid people don't interrupt Spellflingers and cry when my health goes from 100% to like 21% in one attack ("OMG ur not defcapped failz")
HoS: Long, boring. Lousy pulls, lousy bosses, the Brann event is a waste of time
HoL: Same as HoS minus event and having to fight all bosses.
CoS: Annoying having to run around to different areas of the map repeatedly for each spawn
Occ: Just a lousy dungeon. It's easysauce now but I still hate running it because using vehicles in a dungeon SUCKS.
HoR: The worst. Insanely difficult even when you're geared and with a good group. Requires WAY too much coordination for PuGs.

Classic: Probably Mara. It's just confusing and long.
BC: Hmm... Sethekk Halls when people don't know to kill the mobs that MC and fear first.
WOTLK: As a tank, HoR. Occ is boring. And HoS is annoying sometimes.

Clicking a mob and pressing the turn evil button is pretty hard, I'll give you that. And pressing healing buttons more than once per pull is also quite a heroic feat.

i dont mind a run i HoR, on my dps dk. since ill know there will be silences etc in time then..
but when im on my tank druid, damn i hate it then. no 1 helps in any way, the mage and hunter who are still somewhere in the room thats sort of stuff.
vanilla, i hate BrD, always get lost in their (ST is easy to find, cause i farmed to place for epic robe on my priest:P)
nicest instance.. hmm dont really have 1 in the 5man department
