[client] Unable to process...

The message "Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time. Please try again in a bit!" is issued WHILE the client is uploading the data (as I can see on my traffic monitor). From one point of view it makes sense that the server won't reply until all the package is uploaded, but the client times out before that.
The Client times out when no data has been transferred for 10 consecutive seconds.

Are you behind a proxy?

"Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time. Please try again in a bit!" the same problem here
client start upload, show me that he's upload "-1% (or sometimes 0%) of 2.4MB" and after a few seconds show message "Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time. Please try again in a bit!"
client 1.6.2, windows 7 64-bit, Eset NOD32 4.0 (tried to disable NOD)

Mystadio, my system is the same as Barenei, same AV as well. Like Krows, I'm not behind a proxy and I have no warnings on my firewall either.

I released a new version of the Client (1.6.3). This version doesn't fix anything but will display more useful information in the log (Menu > View > Display Log).
Please try to upload and paste the content of the log in this thread.

Could you please send the report of your traffic monitor and any other useful information to ? That could help me a lot :)

My traffic monitor is simply a graph showing network activity. I realised the above fact when I looked at my traffic monitor and saw the upload graph x time to be a little too wide considering how long it took for the Wowhead Client to display the error window. So I thought "humm, is that upload traffic from Wowhead Client or from something else"? I tested it by simply turning off all software on my PC including my anti-virus and Windows Update service (because of automatic update). And re-run Wowhead Client. My upload traffic was a perfect square graph with zero traffic before I hit the upload button on the client and zero after some time. And there it was, the error message before the upload graph went to zero again. I tried it about three times, so there is no way the residual upload traffic was coming from another program on my computer. Sorry I haven't made any further "scientific" testing on this, it was all merely observational.
That said, I really don't know what other report you want me to send to that e-mail. Can you please give me some directions? :) I will gladly help your development team on this.
Thank you.

I turn off antivirus and firewall... maybe the problem is in the router? :S

Mystadio, I just want to give a feedback on this. I did what the guy on this thread described and it worked for me.

yes, that's help me too.... but only with a small files. My itemcache.wdb has about 11.5 Mb of data, and it compressed into 1.5 Mb file... and when i try upload ONLY this file client shows me message "Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time. Please try again in a bit!"... all other data was uploaded successful

So, is it safe to say we isolated the problem already? File size.
Bonnick, the guy who gave the tip, has suggested something that might work for you, Barenei. Have a look.
http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=160329#p2138860
It may not be the ideal solution, but you could give it a try. Backup your actual itemcache.wdb file and let the addon create another one and try to upload that. Keep that larger itemcache for when the problem is solved. If your main use for the Wowhead Client is to keep track of your quests, achievements and recipies then that solution wouldn't harm you. I think the Wowhead Looter creates files with this information as soon as you run it for the first time (happened to me). The itemcache probably contains information about the mineral veins, herbs and loot tables but you can build a new one with time.
Anyway, just a suggestion. ;-)

Could you please try to upload again and tell me if it works now?

Mystadio, I'm just reporting that after the trick my uploads haven't failed anymore. ;) And I didn't have to do the trick again. The uploads are working as they were supposed to.
Post by
mystadio
But you shouldn't have to use this trick anymore :) I had the php settings adjusted to allow bigger file uploads.

Many "failed" attempts with data still being sent to the server and then deleted the itemcache over 5mb and uploaded successfully.

Thanks a lot, Mystadio. I've noticed that with patch 3.3.5 all my files were reset (so I had 0% upload on all of them). I had no problems uploading this time. Thank you. ;-)

I still have to fix this bug though, because it will happen again :)
