I will gank, if the Horde toon is in my way, or other wise annoyeing me in anyway (i.e, killing mobs I am grinding among other things). However, I don't belive in the Camping thing... if we are fighting over resources I don't feel bad killing lowbies in say STV, but there is no need to slow down my farming/grinding of rep to camp some horde. If they have the bad luck of running into me again so be it, if not good for them being smart and moveing on.
Personally, I think this is what ticks me off more. I've come to accept ganking. I will never accept campers. Blizzard can think what they want - and I know theirs is the only opinion that counts - but long-term camping is harassment in my book.
I used to head a guild, and I received several reports that one of the people we'd invited was grief camping. If it had happened once, I would have ignored it - but we got three reports. I kicked him from the guild. It was the most I could do, unfortunately.

Like they say, "When in Rome..".
...eat too much, and then run to the Vomitorium?
Sorry, couldn't resist...

As to someone saying ganking doesn't have to be justified, say that next time you get sucker-punched, because that's what ganking, in a sense, boils down to.
Alternatively, I could play on a PvE server. Oh, wait! That's
what I do
!

At what point did I say I was camping? They make the choise be be back in my path, I don't just sit there and wait for them to rez, I move on. Reason I am there is to aquire something, be it ore, skins, herbs, or rep. If a flaged Horde is in the way of that then they die, if they stay in the way of it, then they keep dieing. Point being I am not going to alter my farming pattern becouse someone else wants to be there too. The works both ways... If I am in WG farming Eternal Fire, and a Hord toon drives by and gankes me, I have a choice, go back and try to farm around him... bad idea if he showed he is way better geared or is a more skilled pvp'er than me. Or go farm something else. Normaly I go farm something else
I was agreeing with you. I didn't say you were camping - I was commenting on the (I hope) minority who will find a low-level or poorly-geared character, kill them, and then stand around by the body waiting for them to rez for the sole purpose of killing them again.

the only time i ever kill horde players that are a lower level than I is if theyre doing something stupid. for example.... One time i was trying to quest in westfall but some Buttnugget decided to repeatedly kill the questgivers. lv 71 DK. so i got on my 80 pally and killed him over and over untill he got the point and left. another time, there was a group of lv 30-70s killing guards and questgivers in elwynn so i hunted them all down repeatedly on my hunter untill i had to log due to wife aggro.

I gank whenever i feel like it.
I even pop a
campfire
on their corpse while i kill them over and over....
Its a pvp server, deal with it.
On the other hand... ill stop and save the silly lil NE huntard that pulled way WAY too many mobs.
Its a game.
Im here to have fun.
If you cannot stand being ganked.... go to a PVE server. (or roll pally so ya can bubble+hearth.. like i did.. hahaha)
Edit:
Players who gank, and then sit and camp for ages until you ressurect are just players who are terrible at PVP. They find pleasure in killing lowbies.. In my perspective - they are just noobs.
This is my impression of "ganking". If I see a horde I will attack then move on but I never sit and camp their body. I really don't see the satisfaction of waiting for a player to get back, resurrect, have half health, and kill them again.
It is not that i am terrible at pvp.
It is more that i am really.. REALLY bored grinding.. and the redbar alliance are a nice distraction.

I play on Horde side and I just don't like Alliance. When I see a player from the opposite faction, I attack. I don't care what level you are, lvl 2, lvl 25 or lvl 80... I'll still attack you. It's just my nature to kill, as my char is Orc.
For the Horde!
This sounds noble and all, but lets face it--it is also BS. I am willing to bet that if you rolled a new orc on a pvp server and saw an 80 Alliance, you wouldn't feel "compelled" to go attack them. You would probably try to sneak away and hope that either they A) dont notice you, or B) dont feel "compelled" to gank you.
In short, maybe you feel you have to attack someone with even ods. Fine, that makes sense. Maybe you feel you have to attack someone who has no hope of fighting back, ok. . . But I am pretty sure you would never attack someone who you know you would have no chance in hell of killing.

I think I only ganked once while on my Blood Elf.Had a bad day and I tried to get rid of the stress by questing.I couldn't kill any mob because a Draenei was kiling them all.I was fustrated and killed him.He rezzed, taunted me and killed him. Then I felt bad, hopped on my Dwarf and told him I was sorry and explained that I had a really, really bad day and all.He forgived me and I helped him do his quests and gave him 100 gold.I have never killed an member of the oposite faction since then ;) and only wave or dance with them.

The old "I am Horde/Alliance this is the way my character would act" basically
means "I'm a ^&*! in real life so I might as well roleplay one in game too."

The way I see it, most people have a ganking checklist (not counting people who are attacking towns/other people etc). Here's mine:
- The player is a Ret Paladin
- The player has Goku hair
- The player has Varian hair
- The player is killing mobs I need for whatever reason
- The player spammed emotes on me
- The player has a name like Arthasx or whatever
- The player is a female Night Elf or Draenei
If any of those apply, they die, lowbie or 80, low health with 3 Yetis on him or 40k unbuffed tank.
For 80s only, I pretty much always attack them if they're at full health/mana or close.

if u dont like ganking dont play on a pvp server. its the way the world goes round there, while leveling a charactor i get ganked quite often, and as a result when i see someone i can gank i return the favor.
red = dead.
