It'd be easier if you gave us your armory, and we could give suggestions. Also, it depends on how far into ICC you are trying to go, and also your skill. It really varies between fights on how healing intensive it is.

Going to ask a similiar question, to maybe help the priests in my guild out - in ICC 25, is it better to focus on throughput stats (e.g. SP, crit, haste) or to get regen stats (e.g. Int, Spi) to prevent that issue where when your MP = 0, DPS = 0.

DPS should never gem/enchant/spec for mana regen, unless they're finding that they're constantly going OOM.

I meant to say MP = 0, HPS = 0. Typed the wrong letter. Can you answer the question as it relates to healing?

Considering its a 25-man (as the thread suggests), I assumed it would be assumed you have full raid buffs. I've never heard of a 25-man with only 1 paladin.

No offense, but the information you gave doesn't give me much at all. If you have a moonkin you dont need crit? If you have an ele sham (which, btw, any shaman can drop that totem) you dont need haste? If you have 2 pallies (which, btw, a shaman can drop a totem that does the same thing) you don't need MP/5? In that case, why should any of my gear have those stats? I'll just get the greens with Int, Stam, and Spell Power!
On a more serious note, most raids assume you have the following for 25s (and Blizzard balances ASSUMING you have the following):
132 Spirit (spirit + gotw)
112 Intel (int + gotw)
90-109 MP/5
8.15% haste (from 2 stacking buffs)
10% stats
125 SP (flask) or 45 MP/5 (less powerful flask)
5-8% crit (moonkin aura, maybe FM if a mage loves you)
Those buffs should then be irrelevant in theorycrafting. My question still stands - is it generally better for holy priests to take the pally approach (go for regen for more healy spammage) or go for the shaman approach (stack pure throughput stats and to 0 with my mana pool!).

If you need regen, gear for regen. If you can last the fight without running OOM and have some excess mana, change to throughput.

This. This is the general rule of thumb that most priests run by.
It really is more of a decision you need to make, as you know your stats and capabilities better than any of us.
My advice is to give it a shot, and if you are really struggling, then maybe you should go back to the previous tier for a bit.
