I've got Omen installed. And it's somewhat useful with my Warlock. But even then, it only tells me where aggro lies for the mob I'm currently targeting.
When I'm healing -- especially, when my Tank pulls too many mobs -- I'm too busy playing whackamole to really have time to "poll" the various enemies for aggro. I don't know I'm gaining aggro until I've got two or three mobs coming at me... My own health bar can already be cut to half, before I realize what's going on. (But yes, I'm a new Healer, so maybe I'll get better at this)
What I'm looking for is an addon that'll list the various mobs (or enemy players, in PvP) in a pull -- or, in the vicinity -- and my estimated aggro level with each of these mobs. (And, if you could select a mob out of the list, for targeting, it would be extra suh-weet!)
This would be immensely useful on any other toon as well, since I'd be able to gauge where things are at. When my Warlock is spamming his AoE spell (
Seed of Corruption), he can quickly gain aggro, if the Tank isn't in top form. And I similarly don't know what's going on, since the spell causes aggro spikes, and I'm switching targets too frequently to really gauge individual mobs well. (Omen doesn't give me the traditional, "BOOM!" warning)
I think that, if there were an aggro meter which would communicate and compare results with other players' aggro meters (And I don't know that Omen doesn't do this, but if it does, it doesn't do it well), then we could get a better, general idea of such things.
Does anyone know if any addon has this kind of functionality? (I may be displaying my newbishness right now)

And, while I'm at it? What are the best addons which you fellow, Resto-Shammies would recommend for healing? I've been looking up recommendations, but I've been using the classic 5-man interface, and clicking on portaits. (Yes, I know I could use something better)
