I was hoping to get a thread started giving a little overdue love to my favorite of all skills, Demonic Circle Teleport
When do you find yourself using this? On what raid bosses, during when?
Currently for me
Lord Jarraxus - Legion Flames when it's on me
Marrowgar - Bone Storm to escape
Saurfang - Blood Beasts coming towards me
Putricide - Maleable goo coming at me

I use Demonic Portal in many situations, as an emergency escape. It only takes a second or so to drop a Circle. Even, when speed-running an instance in LFG.
In Icecrown Citadel 10/25, when things get outta control, my team can see me teleporting, and the prime healer rocket-booting, out of the area ASAP. We may be the only ones who survive when things go bad.

Like Oni said.. i Drop mine all the time in PvE and an escape if needed or to get back to my assigned spot on certain fights.. beats running, plus the teleport always puts you facing the way you set it up!
I pvp a lot.. and its one of my main casts.. lol. My OH %^&* MELEE button

I too love the fact that you can teleport while rooted by malleable goo on Putricide.
Other uses:
BQL legion flames - gets you back on your spot very quickly after
Sindragosa icy grip - you can teleport while in mid air
Dreamwalker - use it to lose the snare from frostbolt

Also:
Mage-Lord Urom in Oculus. I've not thought about using the Demonic Circle when fighting Eregos yet, but I suppose it could be useful... IF your dragon gets killed out from under you, and you're falling to your death.
I've not yet been able to test if Demonic Circle would save you from being tossed around by Grand Magus Telestra, in the Nexus. (Frozen Halls)
I've been trying -- HARD -- to get the
Intense Cold
portion of the
Glory of the Hero
achievement. However... when Keristrasza put her Crystal Chains on me, and I teleported? I only ended up at my Demonic Circle with the Crystal Chains still on. (FRUSTRATING!) I suppose it's not a "snare effect", but it was worth a shot. Guess I'm going to need to have a good Healer, who can dispell the debuff.

Fel hunter can eat it.

Aye... I was hoping this would be the case. Glad to hear it.
Since I'm primarily Destro, I've neglected my Felpuppy a little bit. But in TOC 25, a couple of days ago, I was asked to bring him out and be prepared to spell-lock some mobs, and dispell certain things. (Even, while staying Destro) So I worked up a few quickie macros, proved that they worked (Hoo! Glad I didn't look like an idiot), and am hoping I'm good to go for this. Dispel Self, Dispel Target, and Spell Lock Target.
I also secured a couple of potions which will allow me to hop my way through the encounter. (In order to keep the debuff off)

IF your dragon gets killed out from under you, and you're falling to your death.
Won't help. I survived the dragon getting killed from beneath me, but he still tosses arcane bolts or w/e at you and you die. It's inevitable.
I do however think that mages can survive, by having their dragon positioned so they have something to land on if it dies. They can Iceblock and not take fall damage, or any other damage for that matter.
No idea if it resets the boss though, maybe he'll just wait until the effect ends and then nuke you down anyways ... Anyone care to confirm any of this?

if you fall onto the ground for eregos he'll go after the other dragons first. I know this for a fact.

Just like Mod said, the puppy can eat it. Because the boss is so easy now, focus more on moving around and less on the boss, because not pulling 6k isn't gonna hurt at all. The MOMENT you see the chains pull up, target yourself (F1 if it's easier for you) and use devour magic (control+4), then continue moving. You could even make a macro that does that in one click (I think), or at least double click it. Macros aren't really my thing, but I'm sure someone's made one already. Google it or ask someone =D
