From my experience, your best bet against a DK is destro mainly to burst his antimagic bubble as fast as possible. If you save your trinket for his snare and teleport his Death Grip that may give you some breathing room to kite as affliction. 1v1, DKs are the biggest pain in the ass for me. Your voidwalker bubble is invaluable ofc.
If he's a smart DK, he'll run to where your circle is and death grip you there, where you're pretty much f'd.

A mage friend and I were talking about this in Arena. If the DK just sits on you, you can't really do much against him between stun, silence, interrupt(If your bad), AMS, AMZ, Lichborne, IF, and all the other fun stuff. Of course, some things are easy enough, like setting a circle then getting the hell away from it, preferably out of LoS so the death grip onto your circle is impossible. It's mainly a kite fest, slowing him, running from him, fake casting a fear to force an interrupt or AMS/Lichborne. Pump out as much damage as you can between his defensive CDs and hopefully you can drop him... if not, well, at least you tried, right? Keep moving ><

DK's are a pain in the ass, more so, that f*@%ing annoying pet.
Withambomb does it about the same as i do and it works wells. If you stay at ranged, and out of LoS that helps huge.
AMS/AMZ is your queue to go defensive. Run away, Focus on the pet while avoiding the DK. AMS get away from him. LoS, run.. AMZ, run away, tap and heal. If they leave the Zone, beat the crap out of them.
I always try to save my port for the deathgrip. When that is on CD, it is easier to stay at range.
Pet swap... VW's bubble is a life saver, puppy is perfect for removing the DK's curses and silencing the gargoyle and the DK.
Use Shadow Ward when you can. Not sure if the DK's spells deal shadow damage, but i always consider them the Melee Warlock, so and instant damage reduction helps, unless they have no shadow damage.. in which case /facepalm
My biggest thing is the spamming of CoI. If my Teleport is down, all i have available is my Fears.. this is usually when the DK gets me.. If ports are down and my fears are on diminishing returns, then im screwed.
What i started to do, I popped my Succy.. Yes i know.. WTF! Seduce him. Helped me get ranged, load up my dots and start from the top again while my Fear's diminishing return(probably using the wrong term here) wears off and i can fear again..
My 2 cents.. Ill be following this thread for more advice on AFFLICTION pvp vs. a DK.
PS. Yes Destruction is MUCH easier against a DK, but that doesnt help the topic now does it. . .

Kick him in the nuts and you should be out of death-grip range by the time he recovers xD
If all else fails do what withambomb says.

Shadow Ward should help with their Death Coils as I would imagine those are shadow like ours is. Also probably casting Incinerates to eat his Mind Freezes would help since an affliction locked out of fire could care less. I used to cast Incinerates(when not applying dots) as Affliction in PVP just hopeing someone would waste a school lock out on it.
Fake casting, forgot that one.. lol... I use Searing Pain over Incinerate. Personal choice i guess.

Treat the DK like a warrior. He may be "unfearable" for 10 seconds, but after those 10 seconds you have a 1 minute and 50 second window in which to fear freely (minus trinket). Anti Magic shell only lasts four seconds; it really is not as much a counter as you might think it is. If you silence him, he can't mind freeze, death coil, death grip, strangulate, chains of ice or sacrifice his ghoul.
Also, you can use devour magic on Chains of Ice and Strangulate. DKs have ALOT of anti-caster tools, the trick to beating him is to know what cooldowns he has ready and what cooldowns he has already blown.

Against the Anti-Magic Shell you must act exactly like againt Cloak of Shadows: run like if the Devil itself is after you.
DK's haven't stun, fear or any CC, so you should save your trinket for the Chains of Ice. Also your Felpuppy can dipel one of the silences (Strangulate), and, if he'd silenced you, silence him back. A silenced DK can do almost nothing.
About the pet, there isn't much you can do except cast a Corruption and slow it.
You must also consider your profession. If you're a tailor, you should use a net to slow him when your other defensive spells are with CD on. If you're an engineer, you can use the Nitro Boots or the Net Trinket (have its risks). And if you're neither engineer or tailor, you should consider become one.

DKs really aren't that bad. Only baddies claim they are.
