you should also look for people advertising "leveling guilds". those would be filled with other people also leveling their first toons and it's sooo much better to work with others.
you could also post yourself, "new player looking for friendly leveling guild" in trade or guild recruitment chat. you will have to enter a major city (undercity, for example), to use those chat channels.

oh man, you really didn't use talent points, lol.
try
this
out and work towards
this
.
glyphs might be expensive until you join a guild and find someone to make them for you.

charge, then rend is good.
after that,
OP
is going to be your bread and butter. it will light up every time your target dodges, plus every six seconds once you get
TfB
. if you can find a cheap
glyph
, it will also light up every time your target parries. those three combined will mean OP is ready a LOT.
HS is ok, but uses a lot of rage, so use it less if you find yourself rage-starved. cleave basically replaces HS when you have >1 mob.
victory rush
is new for leveling, but it's a free attack, so definitely use it when it's available.

Sounds like you're off to a flying start :)
You generally won't be able to work on dungeons solo. It is possible, but not usually without pretty good gear, being over-levelled for the place, and knowing your class and the dungeon very well. Not an impossible task, but one extremely difficult for a newbie :)
If you want to get into dungeons you can do it one of two ways (there is a third way, but it's not usually worth the extreme amount of effort).
- ask in your new guild if anyone wants to run through somewhere with you
- hit 'i' to open up the Looking For Dungeon tool, choose the DPS role, and join the queue. Carry on questing/fishing/whatever, and when your group is ready you'll get a big, obvious notification box pop up. Accept it and get teleported to the dungeon. When you leave the group you'll get teleported back to where you were.
I would suggest trying to get guildies to run with you, but don't be afraid to just queue up to join a completely random group. A 'guild run' will usually allow for a slightly slower pace with time for questions, suggestions and explanations. Random groups will usually just blast through the place and leave your head spinning.
Couple of tips for working with a group:
- let the tank establish threat before you start wailing on the mobs. Just give him a few seconds to beat on the bad guys so they hate him lots, then you can join in.
- if a bad guy starts whacking you, run
to
the tank and
stop hitting that bad guy
. Hit something else. It makes it easier for the tank to get its attention back on him.
- assist the tank. Hit his target. In the options menu you can turn on the 'target of target' feature. I usually set the tank as my focus (click on the tank, type /focus, a box will pop up to show you the tank, and another one will come up when he targets something) so I can always see the thing he's hitting and select it for myself.
All in all, ask questions, learn new things, ignore the asshats and have fun ;)
