Single-disease died when they made the rounds to kill diseaseless Blood, basically. Now you gain more from Ob hits by having both diseases present.

I think you should still use a single disease. This partly because of glyph of disease not acivating icy talons. Check my Frost DPS post for a some good advice ;)
Please, for the love of god, read
http://www.ensidia.com/forum_topic.php?forum_id=36&topic_id=28599
.
If you believe their advice is incorrect, please look at the
top 10 Frost DPS DKs in the world
. Notice they all use dual diseases.

I recently returned to a DK that I'd left shortly after getting to 80 when wrath first hit, and was thinking of being dps
If you're talking about tanking heroics, single-disease Frost works fine.
Single-disease frost works perfectly fine for tanking in heroics.
Reading FTW!

Except, single-disease doesn't work (or at least not very well) in heroics when you're DPS, which is kind of the point of the thread. You're not wrong; it's simply a non-issue given the original post. People are giving tanking advice to someone who specifically stated his intention was dealing damage.
Stickies FTW, but Dev has the truth of it: you get a great deal more out of your main nuke, Obliterate, by having two diseases up, resulting in a significant DPS gain.
