Aye, the Orc racials are excellent in both PvP and PvE. My Warlock used to be Undead, but I got annoyed that 90% of the Horde warlocks on my server were either Undead, or Blood Elves. And, I chose the Orc's racials in order to squeeze a little bit more damage out of my toon. +5% pet damage, and
One benefit of being a Human is strictly aesthetic: the items seem to be designed around a Human, Blood Elf or Undead model, and then "scaled" to fit an Orc. And so, some things may look a bit more ridiculous at times. My Orc Warlock looks a little silly at times, with his huge shoulders -- I think some mistake him for a Warrior in PvP... anything but a caster -- and the way in which the graphic textures of some gear are stretched out. He especially looks a little odd to me, when sitting on certain mounts. (I kinda wish that mounts would scale a litle bit upward, like they do for the Tauren... who STILL look ridiculous on some mounts)
But like Sententia said: choose your race after you choose your faction. Warlocks can be Human or Gnomes with the Alliance; Forsaken (Undead), Blood Elf or Orc on the Horde side.
By and large, you may tend to find more of the Junior High crowd (low teens) in among the Alliance. But, that's no guarantee that you won't find jerks on the Horde side, or won't find a good Alliance guild to hang with. (Many of my former guild from another MMO, Lineage, became Alliance toons on my server... I didn't discover this for quite some time)

(Anyone should feel free to correct me on my math, or any of my assertions, if they feel I am mistaken)
Spirit and even MP/5 (mana regeneration) aren't apparently all that useful to you as a Warlock. Not least because, they only help when you're out of combat. You'll be lifetapping far more for your mana. Especially, if you are using the LFG Dungeon Finder. Most people are in such a hurry, you just won't get many opportunities to sit and drink. Glyph of Life Tap mainly allows you to use a stat which you don't normally use for much else, from my understanding.
And, a 3% spirit gain for Glyph of Life Tap? (GoLT) GoLT gives you 20% of your Spirit as added spell-power. Unless I'm mistaken, you'll get 20% of the 3% added spirit. (A fraction of a fractional boost) I have 516 spirit on my Warlock, currently. (Without gearing for Spirit) Which means, I get about 103 spell power, I'm guessing, every time I Life Tap. If I were to do a Faction Change, and become Human, I would have 531 spirit, and get 106 spell power. Less of a difference than I could get from a single spellpower gem.
Don't forget that Orcs have
Blood Fury
, which boosts your SP. (There are
different versions
, for different classes) The formula for this is:
(LEVEL * 2) + 3
So, at level 80, I get +163 spell power for fifteen seconds. And, this racial bonus has a two-minute cooldown. Every two minutes, I pop this
on top of
the SP boost I get from Life Tap.
Orcs also have the
Command
racial ability, which gives +5% to the damage from their pets. (That's a bit more DPS, which you don't have to burn talent points or get gear for)
I should also mention that Forsaken (Undead) Warlocks get a LOT of benefit from their
Cannibalize
racial ability. They can eat many of their enemies (in PvP -or- PvE) to regain 35% of their maximum health very quickly. (My Orc was once Forsaken, and now can only Bandage, use a Healthstone or a potion, if he's not being healed by someone else) My warlock, when he was Forsaken, had almost zero downtime at all. Even, in Destro spec.
Ultimately, though? I suggest you play whatever you want to play. The most important thing is that you like your in-game avatar, and that you have fun. (I just tend to min/max a bit more than some people, and so my choices were more driven)

Heh, we're getting Goblins in a little while. I'm wondering if the Alliance will come to hate them as much as we Hordies (and many Alliance players) hate Gnomes.
Goblins will be able to be Warlocks, too. As will Worgen.

I SO know what you mean about being a Forsaken Warlock. I didn't think the bones would bother me, but they eventually started to. Including, the ways in which almost everything, on an Undead character, looks like it was made from 80 year-old drapes. It's almost pointless to wear tabards, because you can only see the design if you're looking up their robes. And especially, the "poop run". Not to mention, drain Life looks like, "I'm picking your nose from across the room!"
Orc spellcasting animations are definitely cooler. I'm the only Orc who is a Warlock in my guild, and the only Warlock who is an Orc. And, because we have so many women in the guild(?), we are inundated with Blood Elves. It's a lot like watching an episode of Star Trek. Lots of pretty people, with a few "ooh, lookit that!" characters thrown in. ;-)
About the only things I miss about my Forsaken look is the better appearance on mounts, and the racial ability to Cannibalize for health.
