Why don't DKs benefit from the spellcrit portion of intellect?

Yeah, I know the first thought. Noobish DK, you don't stack intellect! Why would you want spellcrit from intellect? Well, going into a raid I get bonus intellect from Mages, Druids and Paladin buffs which is probably around 1% spellcrit's worth for mana users. So why not get spellcrit from int? DK spells are pretty similar to other spells apart from the pure AP coefficient. I think that Blizzard just turned off int altogether because DKs don't use mana.

I'm pretty sure it's to prevent them needing on Healing Plate and Mail items because said items might be "Very minor upgrades" if it did.
(I honestly have no idea how healing plate could be an upgrade, though, and as far as I know a lot of DKs need on mail anyway.)
