Your raid, your rules.
If they want a run full of <80s, then they can make their own raid!

I only take issue with people who say "80s only" but they themselves aren't 80 and usually aren't even close.

Your raid, your rules, absolutely. You're not wrong to restrict in this way.
But I also think you would not have been harmed by bringing along a few 75s or so, and it's a good way to make sure that you're someone they recognize when they hit 80 if they're any good ;)
If you have 25 80s, go to town! But if you're going to end up going with only 20 anyway, you might as well grab 5 lowbies (with an explanation that you won't be waiting on them to drink and such, that if they're oom, fine).

Lower level healers don't matter too much, but tanks and DPS usually aren't able to pull their weight in such raids.
I would take them, but the 80's get priority on gear they've earnt, unless they're scrubs.

What just about everyone else has said. If you're running the raid then run it however you like. You have absolutely no obligation to boost someone's gimpy alt through raid content.

Ill agree its your raid your rules, however I wont agree with your rules. But a funny thing about lvl70 raids, I see alot of people in the 70s range trying to put together raids for BT/sunwell/hyjal etc..mainly DKs it seems, but this 1 guy always seems to stand out, he constantly trys to get 80s in his raids and refuses other plate dps join if they are in their 70s cause obviously he wants all the loots since he thinks the 80s will pass, well it seems he sucked enough people into it and they down ol illidan, 1 of the glaves drops well of course he needs on it despite not even being able to use the damn thing, well theres a 80 rogue in there (my friend) who wants it because he already has the main hand one and wants the set, he wins it over the DK and this dude just explodes saying all sorts of nonsense, I personally hate people like this, its fine if they wanna do the content but this dude is always looking for 80s to carry him through, needless to say nobody ever joins his raids anymore (he once tryed to say the phoenix mount in the eye is reserved for him if it drops lol, so many people started bashing him on that)
And to respond to your question if you should let 70-79 people in on your lvl70 raids that youre already gonna be plowing through with 80s....yes cmon dont be a &*!@#$ and just let them in, youll be making alot of people happy because if youre just going there for the achievement, who the hell cares who gets what...if youre going there for gear then well I would just make a note to avoid any of your future raids ;p
