It depends if you're using focus in the combat where you need the " /tar <name> ".

Vos backslashes ont volé :(.
Translated: Your backslashes did fly :(

@Fox: Yeah, that too. It is what I wanted to post at first, but for some reason, in my head i figured that it would not works properly... this happens when you try to post when you are half asleep.

Oh geez ... isn't passé composée immediate action in the past? "Your backslashes flew" rather than "did fly", right? I didn't use the imperfect because I wanted to refer to the actual flying away rather than the fact that they kept flying after they started. I guess I shouldn't try to apply my own logic to a language I didn't invent. Should it have been imperfect?
I was more going for "flew away", as well; but, I thought I could leave the away part off for some reason. Would it be "volé loin"?

"Your backslashes flew" would have been "Vos backslashes volaient"
Anyway, using the verb "fly" for this is weird :P
@H5: Well, not my fault, first thing I do when I wake up is to check my "Dailies" folder of bookmarks (comics, news, blogs, etc), then come here. So I post half-asleep :)
