On
Wowhead's pet page
, all pets are listed as having +5%/+5%/+5% Damage/Armor/Health. What's this supposed to mean? +5% relative to what? What's the point of listing it if it's the same for every pet?

Yeah... Ferocity pets
used
to have +10% DPS, Cunning at 5%, and Tenacity at +0%.
If you wanna talk about used to, remember when every pet type had different stats? I chose Ravager as my first pet because they had +10% damage, even though it had -7% armor. Setting it to way back, remember when different named mobs had different stats?

I liked it back before the pet attack speed was normalized. Back when find and taming rares ment something i.e. ... Brokentooth with its 1.0 attack speed. After the normalization you might as well just go tame a similar skinned cat and call it brokentooth cause there was no differance.

Or that one raptor that had the fastest running/closing speed in the game.

But that was the whole point of the change. Hunters are about dps, so by having some pets as superior, it became required for a raid spot and so it was lame as hell. I rather have the small dps loss and be able to bring different pets.
With Cata coming, we can probably expect some revamping of the hunter play style in addition to the removal of mana, I expect so see hunters being able to select the pet talent tree. Thunderstompin spiders? ferocious turtles? yes, pls.
