A few Combat Q's

So I have been playing assassination for quite some time and I am a little out of the loop with combat. I recently was checking spreadsheet and it said I could be doing about 1k more dps if I went combat over assass. The first question I had was I know that combat uses eviscerate instead of envenom so do you even use deadly poison as combat? Or do I use instant/wound or what? Second question is I recently got
Gutbuster
from ICC and my current main hand was
Nighttime
. According to spreadsheet Gutbuster is about a 5 dps upgrade over nighttime, as I only had Nighttime enchanted with 26 agi enchant would it be worth it to use Gutbuster even though it is a mace and I am specced HnS? My offhand is
Blood Fury
and from what I had read about combat maces aren't that viable of a spec. What are your opinions, I just feel like a scrub wielding a mace while specced into Axes/Swords but thought I would ask.

If you have a spreadsheet....figure all this out for yourself...

Please don't return to my thread, looking at your last three posts on the first 5 threads you have added nothing to any topic of discussion.

Nothing except giving you the right answer, of course.
Spreadsheet.

Spreadsheet.
He did, according to the OP, which leaves me wondering what the point of this thread is.

My questions were what poisons to use as combat and if it was ok to use a mace even though I am specced hns, thanks for all the wonderful tidbits of information /sarcasm. I now realize why I only have 13 posts on this forum.

If you don't have an axe or sword and you are specced into H&S, then you are missing the extra hit proc. Might be worth it if the DPS on the mace works out to be higher than the average DPS you'd get off H&S proc, but you're saying the mace is only a 5 DPS over all increase, so I think you've got all the evidence you need to answer your own question, there.
What poisons to use as combat is well covered territory. If you don't want to use the spreadsheet, or don't trust it or whatever, just read through the forum a little. The answers you need for your situation are actually out there already, and don't involve spreadsheeting.
Same for combat spec at 80. Well covered territory. Just have to do a little reading.

Well he's basically telling us he's a lazy SOB and wants us to tell him what to do when he already has a spreadsheet.

If you are using the current cookie cutter spec for combat then IP/DP. Otherwise if you are using the old spec it would be WP/DP. But obviously you should be using the cookie cutter for obvious reasons. As for the mace... If you put it into a spread sheet and it had only 5 more dps then no its not worth it. Also when you enter it into the spreadsheet put the same enchant on both and then you will know the dps difference. I recommend zerker obviously. But if you don't wanna pay for that mongoose is the next best chant for your wep.

One other thing. Why do people feel they have to waste an entry saying spreadsheet. If they are not new they already know this. If you don't wanna take the time to answer questions without saying spreadsheet then just leave the thread alone. This will trigger no responses the thread will die and the poster will be forced to look elsewhere and possible stumble across the answer he wanted without all the posters simply replying "Spreadsheet". Seriously if you are to lazy to answer with a response then go all the way and be to lazy to answer with spreadsheet.
End of QQ

play with your talents on the spreadsheet till you find a good combination of mace spec/HnS to eek out the most dps out of that mix combo and compare it to full HnS with properly enchanted nighttime and see what ends up giving out the most dps. Then wait till the slow axe or sword from ICC drops and quickly change to that.
See? I basically just told you how to use your spreadsheet. Don't go hurting yourself now, you hear?
