IDK about gettint the exotic pet out of the stables, but I do know that you cant get the spirit beast unless your BM. Its classified as an exotic

There are only 2 ways to get an exotic pet in your stables deleted.
1) Respec to BM, take it out, abandon it, then respec back.
2) Ticket a gm, wait a few hours to a few days for a response and hope that the GM is nice.

Personally, I'd keep the exotic. Blizz lets us have up to 5 pets- how many do you actually use? You need a wolf for raiding, and maybe a seperate PvP pet (spider, crab, wasp). The other three pets seem to be just for show.
And Cataclysm is right around the corner- they're revamping all the talent trees- BM might become the new raiding spec. If nothing else, it might be what we use for leveling 80-85.
I have 2 exotics in the stables right now, and a third slot waiting for Skoll. If nothing else, they're a conversation piece :)

Meh, just respec bro. You can make 100G in like 30 minutes. Why not just not-ticket the GM, saving everyone else awaiting a ticket time....geesh no wonder the wait time is 3+ days now, people are lazy! Just go do some quests you never completed or dailies.
Stop wasting your time and GM time and just go get 100G.
Or, how bout you go and grind that G for him?
It is his playtime.
It is their stupid stables that caused the issue.
1 min to submit ticket vs 1 hr grinding... hmmmm..
thats a tough one......
What should happen is that if you try to take out an exotic pet as non bm, you get a confirmation message that the pet will be uncontrollable and will run off should you decide to continue taking it out of the stables.
And when you do.. it should become a loot-less mob that tries to rip your face off...
THAT would be hella funny...
Edit:
And would actually make sense...
