was flying over his bones in Dragonblight and was like "wtf is this huge ass dragon"
Anyway, since the Scourge is trying to raise him as a frost wyrm, and due to a quest....subsequently fails....do you foresee him coming back in Cataclysm to help against Deathwing? Or if anyone has more info (i'm not really into lore deep enough to know) that'd be cool.

Nope, he's dead as a doornail.

Aye you have a quest that stops him from being raised.....

There was a snippet of lore around Galakrond in the Trag Highmountain 4 parter in warcraft legends, where Trag is able to use a piece of Galakrond to crack the lich kings armor (which just resealed 5 seconds later).

I'd love to see way more Lore on the dragons, I mean before the Aspects came to power.
I'd actually like to see more on the young races. The War of the Three Hammers would make an amazing book. As would the Troll Wars.

Aye both would be cool. I would personally like to see a cavern of time where the Dark Irons summon Ragnaros. It connects and would be cool.

Ah, I made a mistake on that Trag thing, Trag already cracked the lich kings armor with his own axe, that resealed after, and Then when the lich king tries to kill him Trag pulls out the bone shard of Galakrond, and its then that the lich king hurls him away through the wall of icecrown.
Either he couldn't be killed because of the bone shard, or Arthas actully feared being stabbed by the thing.

IMO Galakrond should have been in an Icecrown opening event. Dragonblight = setback.
Opening event? You don't understand, Deathwing has an entire expansion dedicated to him. Galakrond is Death Wing's dad. He's probably the third most powerful being in the world, short of Old God's and Titans.

Except of course he's dead ^_^
Otherwise yes, He could kick all our trash with half a toe.

Aye, Galakrond is a proto-dragon, not an actual member of the current flights; more then likely he was suppose to be the Azeroth version of Tiamat, queen of Dragons. But, he's probably not more powerful then Deathwing or the Queen of Life; they are Aspects, not just Dragons.

I would think Deathwing would be respectfull of a fallen dragons corpse to never even think of raising him from the dead, especialy that of his own father.
It's....Not....His....FATHER!

Hmmmm, there seems to be some debate on who he actually was. It was my understanding from the article i linked that he is the father of all dragons and proto-dragons, the first of his kind. So was he Deathwing's actual father, or just an ancestor? Anyone have the lore behind this?

He would be the 'father' the same way that whoever the first human is the 'father' of our species; but, as he is a Proto-Dragon, and not an actual Black Flight Dragon, he cannot be Deathwing's Father.
