These are pretty much definitive pre-ICC or ToGC. You'll find better in both instances, but until then, these are your best friends.

I used teh item compare tool, used the search, but wanted OPINIONS. cannot search that without posting on the forums and asking. Attitudes are not appreciated, so get you asses back to the wow official forums if you are going to be that way.
Noobs are noobs. You have your stats on the character sheet. You have the wowhead database to take a look at your choices and compare the stat changes, then see where they drop from or what materials are needed to craft them. What's so damn hard to use your own brain?
For instance, alternatives to the chest would be the
Cuirass of Calamitous Fate or
Malfurion's Raiments of Triumph. An alternative to the bracer would be the
Bracers of Dark Determination.
The real major difference is that these are dropped / bought, while the pieces you mentioned are crafted. If you don't have access to 25 man ToC, then they are your best choices.
