No one kicked my holy pally when he was wearing all blues and a few greens. Probably because I just didn't let people die very often & even got a few comments like "dude when you get geared you'll make an awesome raid healer" Oh, I forgot the only epic I had was the craftable mace.

I remember hitting 80 back when the game first came out. We did heroics with tanks in ~24kHP. Having 27k+ meant you were really well geared. Back then, people were also generally wearing BT/Sunwell epics (those who leveled fast). Heroics were cleared then, with crap (relative to current times) gear, but the fact remains that it was cleared. I'm sorry if you're demanding people to ding 80 and spend 5k on BoE's just to do heroics. It may have been reasonable back then, but not anymore when getting new gear doesn't take long to replace 200,213,226 BoE's.

Every single person was in blues and greens at some point. Heroics are here to help gear up people so they dont have to run old content just to get gear, otherwise they would have to keep running naxx/maly/sarth just to do ulduar just to do ToC and keep at that until Icecrown. So you dont finish the heroic in 15 minutes because everyone is not doing 5k+ dps. If you keep kicking people with low scores they will take even longer to get better gear.

Why don't you just take 4 friends with similar gear and run heroics with them? I used LFD for my Pug pet (sooo cute), and occasionally when I don't feel like waiting an hour for my guild to come online to do my random (East Coast on a West Coast Server). I never NEED to use LFD. If you don't feel like dealing with new 80's just do your heroics with friends or guildies.

There are at least two crafted epics and tons of crafted or boe level 78+ blues for every class. Why do you expect to zone into a heroic 5 man with all crappy quest items when you could easily do a days worth of dailies make some coin to upgrade your gear?
I agree with what your saying, But only when it applies to healers or tanks. Dps? Who cares. When I First got 80 on my resto shaman I blew some 700g to get enchants and a few epics on gear before setting foot in an instance
Reason for this was as to not slow down the group as a whole since I was a core mechanic.
Would I have done this as a Dps? Probably not. I would have jumped straight into heroics and within a few hours been geared enough to outpds the tank :)
It's a double standard to expect tanks to be defense capped (ie have bought boe epics, put a lot of time and gold into enchants and gear) yet expect dps to be able to queue without doing anything of the sort.

Technically, it's also a double standard to expect to a doctor to go through 7 years of schooling, and a waitress to go through 2 weeks of training- except that that is the amount of preparation that u NEED to do those patricular jobs effectively.
We could require 7 years of school for all jobs, to make all the doctors feel better. I don't think people would go for it, though, since the job seems to get done without it.
And, BTW, most tanks in heroics got their tank gear running instances as undergeared DPS- not many went out and farmed saronite for three weeks before setting foot in HUK. So, if anything, them running through with DPS who also need gear is just paying it foward.
A wise person once told me- if everyone around you is wrong...maybe it's not them.

WoW players can group in two types.
Type 1,
Serious Players
. Purpose & goal driven toward endgame. Who got to have the latest and greatest gears, wealth builders. Hardcore raiders full of WoW achivements.
Type 2,
Casual players
. Who are in it for a good time. Players socialize while in game with others. Getting wiped is less painful than not able to crack jokes or chat just about anything.
Blizzard's patch 3.3 LFD has became the game changer. LFD is Pugging everyone with different playing styles, gear scores together in random dungeons. The result is like a shotgun marriage, not working very well. If you cleared random heroic dungeons with total strangers, you are lucky.
My guess is that over 50% of random fails.
Way to pull numbers out of your ass. The only random I've ever seen truly fail was an HoR run, and that was due more to people quitting because our healer kept dc'ing.

And I don't demand a high gearscore, but it's a flag that someone isn't going to pull their weight. A rogue comes in with 3200 gs the other day and does 700 dps. That's terrible. Now maybe a good rogue in the same gear does 1500 I don't know, but as much as you hate gearscore their is a correlation between how much dps you can do and your gearscore number. I do rate people by their dps, but generally you can guess what their dps will be by looking at their gear and class..
If you put two rogues side by side, same exact gear and enchants, and one does 700dps, and the other does 1500, take a look at their talents and glyphs.
I've been trying to help a friend out with suggestions for her rogue re: gear and such. She hates dungeons, partly because no one tells her what to expect (even I'm not online all the time, and there's only so much you can glean from online walkthroughs) and partly because they insult her dps etc.
Her gearscore (mod) is almost 3500. Her wowhead profiler gs is 1824. Her wow-heroes score is barely 1700.
In heroics (H-VH, as an example) she pulls barely 1300dps. Why?
Her talent and glyph selections suck. (I'm slowly, diplomatically working on this with her. She's proud of her choices because they "work" for her.)
She also plays WOW on an older Dell PC with a crappy ass integrated video card.
I was in an H-HOL with my mage (4500+gs, wowhead profile 2400+gs, wowheroes 2400+gs) the other night, and was having all sorts of sound card issues. Stuttering, turning lag, UI lag. Barely pulled 1500dps. Blue screen, reboot. Log back in, no issues. 3200dps.
There are so many other factors outside of strictly gear that can contribute to low DPS.

Heroics are meant for people gearing up. The new lfd system is meant to speed up that you require for the new raids or raids faster, so you cna get into raiding then end game happens for the last stage of the show.
LFD is probarly the nicest thing blizz made in the game, due now you can without fear re roll or make a new char and still be expected to get enough time to see ICC if you join late.
The op post shows behaviour not worthy itself. If you so damn well wanna do fast heroics and knowing you will get there in the flash of light. Just build your own grp and random it. Kicking people are arsehole behaviour bcs they do not pull 4k dpser in a blue set or gear lol.

No, it isn't; it's just a fact of game mechanics. Again, you're complaining about something which is Blizzard's fault, not the players'. Go QQ at them.
When I dinged 80 on my Shadow Priest, in those Quest Greens and Dungeon/Quest Blues which you hate so much, I was pulling 2k DPS in heroics. I also pulled 2k DPS in those same heroics with that similar gear level on my Death Knight when that hit 80. Know why? Because I know how to play.
Gear means nothing for heroics. It is all about the player behind the class. One of my favourite runs thanks to LFD was just this weekend. I put myself in as a healer, Azjol'Nerub came up. I thought "Great! This'll be quick." The tank, a bear, had 27k health -- not unbuffed: buffed with Gift of the Wild and Fortitude. None of the DPS pulled over 2k apart from crit spikes. Regardless of that, every mob was chainpulled, we got Hadronox Denied using the Feign-Death method -- killing him just as the adds started to approach us -- and we did not wipe once.
Blizzard does not agree with you on the gear requirements for heroics. If a person has been allowed to queue for a heroic, it means they meet minimum gear requirements. Furthermore, your argument is undermined in your very first sentence. "The LFD system is basically used as a emblem grind
for people to gear up
". Speed is irrelevant. If you want fast runs, it is you who should be looking to your guildies.
Stop trolling and get the hell out of here.

My experience with LFD has been a hit or miss.
Your
experience has been hit or miss.
My
experience has been an utterly joyful one. Don't assume that because you get sucky pugs we all do.
Last night I random with Tank full of green/ blue and few purple gears. This Tank has dps gears (hands, chest armors) with 28k hp in classic Old Kingdom. He can't hold aggro as I suspected then died in fight and left the party.
There are, in
my
experience, very few times a tank actually is physically incapable of holding aggro. 9.99 times out of 10 it would be a hell of a lot easier if the dps would stop whacking the mobs with their willy and use their aggro dumps.
When I first started tanking I was one of those who hoovered up unwanted tanking drops while I was dpsing. I don't mind admitting it. I had the sense to check out what specs/stats were good, but I didn't understand the abbreviations used when talking about priorities, so I decided to try and figure it out myself. There you have the perfect example of a clueless tank. With dps going balls-to-the-wall I had no chance. When the same group wiped because I couldn't hold the mobs, they started chilling out a bit for me and...guess what! It worked!
While waiting for New Tank, Healer left the group (tired of waiting I assume) follow by DPS (left to join ToCr 25 raid).
This is typical of LFD.
I am geared with no problem to clear heroics with right mix of players. My success depend on who I get to random PuG.
No it isn't. This is not typical LFD for me, my guild, my friends at work who play in other battlegroups...it's just not typical LFD. Typical LFD (in the negative view) is the tank saying "ffs not occ again /quit". Otherwise there's very very little negative about your average LFD group. You're about at a 50% chance to get at least one %^&*head in your group, but that's it.
You sound like your chance to get said #$%^head is 100%. I wonder why that is...?
For example, no undergeared player (green and blue with no epic gears) allowed in heroic dungeon. Undergeared players must earn badges, emblems, gear drops in regular dungeons to qualify them for heroics.
This will insure more consistent match of players level in heroic random.
No. It will only ensure that only the already-geared will get to run content that is useless for them. Everyone else will be left to struggle through weeks of normals to have a shot at a couple of ilvl 200 epics, until they meet the standards of elitist pricks running heroics...and then they'll be laughed at and votekicked for the fact they have ilvl 200 epics.
2, Once in group, options for leaving are:
A, Group kicked you.
B, Pay a penalty fee in 25 gold for leave party (for delaying game).
C. After second wipe, players are free to leave or stay with group.
I hope you're kidding. That's so backwards I don't even know where to begin. How the hell will that help?
A. Elitist pricks are going to kick you anyway, it's what they do.
B. How does that impact the group you left at all? They still have to find a replacement, since last I checked, chucking money at stuff doesn't kill it, taunt it or heal it.
C. This generally happens anyway - 2 wipes and people choose whether to leave or stay.
These restrictions will reduce in game interruptions and help to improve LFD successful rate.
Again, no! These restrictions will only mean that LFD is a pointless feature no one except the people who
don't need heroics
will use once a day for their frosties.
I've been in LFD all day today (snowed in, whee!) and I've met a few 'undergeared' healers (zomg! only 19k unbuffed mana? ROFL) and 'undergeared' tanks (HAHA NOOB! u cant tank VH wit 25k hp! gtfo ><) who performed perfectly well. Why is this? How do these freaks of gearing cope with such abysmal stats?
They are running content they are adequately geared for!
Why do I get the feeling I'm feeding a troll?
