Im in plate with 700 res dieing within 4 seconds. What is up?

This is actually not happening and you are lying.
Even if I had insanely good PVE gear and berserking in WSG, beating on a plate wearer at the gear you describe (would be 700 resil / 50% dmg reduce / 32k hp) I would not kill you in the opening stun cycle.
You might be very low, around 30%, but not dead. I could blow every cd I have and if you really have 700 resil, you are not dieing like that.
Heres some math :
In a perfect scenario, I will CS -> mut -> KS -> mut -> CB envenom -> mut -> envenom, where everything crits. It will cost 300 energy to do all this (minus 75 from 3 relentless strikes procs) for 225 energy. That, minus 120 from vigor + glyph (pve gear, remember?) is 105. That takes 8 seconds to regen, not leaving me with enough time to get in a 4th mutilate before the KS ends. as standard 44 / 2 / 25 spec.
I will mutilate you 3 times, if all 3 double crit (extremely unlikely at that resil level) I will do around 2.3k main hand and 1.5k offhand to you with berserking buff for 11.4k dmg. I will envenom at 4 CP twice, and if both of those crit you for 8k each before resilence, they are now critting you for 5k after resilence. Thats 21k dmg. Throw in 3k from autoswings and 3k from poisons for 27k dmg. You are at 16% health as a result of everything critting.
WITH BERSERKING. Take that out and you are around 50% and have plenty of time to 2 shot my face.

10% from resilience, give or take.
Total talent ignorance.
an absurd 20k HP on a meleeing class.
an absurd 50% armor penetration on the rogue's side.
25% armor. 10% resilience mitigation.
4 seconds for 20k hp means 5k DPS. 25% armor and 10% armor
6875 DPS. Stuns included.
Are you claiming, in all seriousness, such numbers are conceivable? Non buffed rogue doing that much damage. Ok.... interesting.
If he had berserking and so on, and you yourself were debuffed, you lose all the credibility on your statements. If he had the upper hand, you were bound to be smashed. Not OPness from the class.

As a 1280 resil resto shaman (so about 16k armor) I have been brought from full->dead during cheap shot kidney shot. Envenom still crits ME for about 7k from a geared rogue, let alone all the mutilates I eat during the stun. Mind you, the whole time he's snaring me for 70% if I manage to survive the stunlock, he's constantly applying a 50% healing debuff to me, and he's dotting me up with deadly poison, which THEN procs the healing debuff even more once it's stacked.
All a rogue has to do to kill ANYONE right now is pop their target's trinket, reset, and CS->KS->kill while the rogue's mage locks their partner down.
It's insane and stupid and I have no idea how Blizzard let it go live.

I'm assuming you meant wotlk and are also complaining that rogues have been op for the entire expansion?

Skilled rogue vs Facerolling (insert class) = free hk for the rogue, as so kindly illustrated by Valer

If you don't understand the mechanics of a class enough to comprehend how they can play with skill or not, it's probably best not to comment on a thread concerning them.
Lol, rogue is not faceroll, I went on my brothers and failed soooo hard it was unbeleiveable just how hard I failed. Trust me you need to know what to do :)

Sure rogues aren't faceroll but there not hard to play either...I mean I hear it's hard to stunlock someone down to at least 30% HP before they can even do anything.
