LFD Loot system FAIL

So, the MAIL caster helm finally drops in H FoS, and of course, I'm a paladin, so I can't roll Need on it...it gets D/E'd because everyone else hit D/E before I told them to pass.
Seriously? Why is D/E on the same priority as Greed? Why not just make it so that when someone is rolling Need on a lower level of armor than they can use, it just brings up a "Yes/No" box to everyone else in the party? Seriously, the loot system's $%^&ed up, in this aspect.

making greed bigger than de is wrong imo BUT there SHOULD be an off-specc button that you can press for all gear. it is lower than need but higher than greed/de

This. This is what Blizz should have done, instead of making Paladins unable to roll on Mail, Shamans unable to roll on Leather, ect.

It doesn't even need to be a different button. Just have those that roll need and have the "right" armor type take precedence over those that roll need and don't have the "right" armor type.
I got very lucky the other day and won the greed roll for a nice set of mail boots for my holy pally the other day that would otherwise have been DE'd.

Greed is the same level as DE because otherwise, all enchanters could role Greed (or off-spec), and then just DE the items later. Greed is the same as DE - we are going to sell those items at some point.
When I see an off-spec item I want, I just ask if I can need it. This is rarely a problem, but if someone has an issue with it, then I Greed it and hope to win. It is not a perfect system, but I think it's a good compromise. If there was a separate off-spec button, what would stop me from clicking it just so I can DE everything? Not everyone is honest, which is why we have the current system to begin with.
The current system is the fairest way to go.

Biggest fail idea ever! Why don't you just hand someone the ninja title while you are at it. If that was made, Paladins/Druids would be able to roll on everything, thus more ninjas, thus a thread just like this where pallys/druids roll on stuff they don't need and they don't even have off-spec, etc.
/facepalm. Because before 3.3 paladins could NEVER roll need on anything, right?

What I want to see is something like what I said earlier:
An "Off-Spec" button that's higher priority than Greed/DE, but lower than Need, and when clicked, brings up a box to all other players:
"Player (name) has selected Off Spec for (item). Allow?"
Yes / No
That's something that I want to see, to solve situations like this. In about 90% of the LFD dungeons I go to with an Enchanter present, everyone just clicks D/E on things they dont need. I guess from now on I'll have to tell the party beforehand to not click D/E if the item I want drops.

Actually, this works much better than what I had in mind. Submit to Blizz plz :O

Stop Trolling and GTFO. I AM NOT IN A GOOD MOOD RIGHT NO.
been trying to get armor for a week now only to have it D/Eed because my Druid can't roll need on a piece of cloth. I have so screamed at 3 groups when it droped and I said that I wanted it only to have it d/ed.
