I would love another event like it.
The problem with it is that people QQed about it way too much. They couldn't accept that this event was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for fun and just wanted to keep going about their regular schedules of grinding instead of having a ton of fun with it.
If they do another event like it, and I hope they do at some point, they will need to make sure people know that the event isn't gonna be around forever or even very long, and that everyone should have fun with it while it's here.

this was a problem. Quest-givers dying shouldn't have been a problem. People should have been having fun participating in the event instead of trying to quest and level. -.-

zombie event was the greatest win in wow history, at least so on my record.
people that qq over it are just unable to think for themselves.
Q = i can't quest
A = that's why it's a zombie invasion, what the hell did you expect it to be like?
Q = i am getting dispelled
A = find a place to hide, or did you think the grace of undeath comes free?
Q = every question that QQs how horrible everything is
A = log off and wait for the real players to handle the invasion
i really don't get it, it was one of the coolest things to happen in wow, imho even better than the AQ opening events. but all that players have to contribute to this is how they can't do what they can do every other day of the year. srsly learn to appreciate.

This was screwing up new players. They would come into the game and.... nothing. All npcs were dead.

I missed the original event, but I can easily see how this would be an issue. Just standing in a low level town with some high level characters of the other faction killing off NPCs... very annoying. And that is usually a pretty short thing.
Still, I think it would be fun if it only lasted for a day or two.

Way to solve zombie event
make it so you have to be pvp flaged to be a zombie not only that but to be attacked by one.
No questgivers can be turn into a zombie other than the faction leaders
No Auctioneers or bankers are zobiefied or killable as a zombie.

It's a matter of whether you liked PvP or not.
All the PvE people will act all cultured and trying to be a wisecrack.
All the elitist PvP people will be like "QQ moar".
That's pretty much the only thing that will be the result of this thread if you guys are going to keep going at it.
For me though, I think many of the people supporting this once in a lifetime event is right although there should be some ways to let players still be able to do quests and stuff like that. Blizzard should have thought of someway to make it fun for everyone and not just for certain groups of players. Although i would still enjoy the event either way if I was a newbie that was informed of such event in the release of the expansion.

The zombie invasion was a cool concept, however many immature players used it as an excuse for a free-for-all griefing of low level players and anyone trying to get to level 70 before WOTLK came out.
If there had been safeguards to prevent the mass griefing and harassment of low level players or... anyone who wanted to send mail, use the AH, take a flight path, or do ANYTHING besides zombie style PVP during the event, it would have been more enjoyable, and there would not have been a need for the mass of reporting and requests for it to be stopped.
But yeah, it was a pretty cool idea.
