Religions, such as Christianity, impact laws based on theological beliefs, such as gay marriage and abortion. A religion should, at least, not have a major impact on laws.
A religion is, at its core, a person's belief structure. In a democracy, how people believe, affect how they vote.
On a side note, the Bible doesn't directly mention abortion. I don't base my view on abortion on my religion.

What do you base your views on abortion on, then?
We classify the fetus as human. We know it is alive. By definition, this is a living human. We should treat it as such. We have used its lack of development, or simply renaming it, as excuses for abortion. Considering abortion is a final abhorrent action, we should be more careful with human rights.

The point is that religion is a big part of who people are, and how they believe. People vote on how they believe. I feel that telling people to leave religion out of how they vote is undemocratic. The catch 22 is when a majority of the population have a religious belief that wishes to silence or do harm to a minority. In this case, religion shouldn't have anything to do with politics.

How do you respond to the argument that a fetus
isn't
a human? The DNA evidence that an embryo has the DNA of an adult human is rather un-refutable, but I've been watching some debates on this, and I haven't found anyone using a SOLID method for saying, "Hey, this 16-cell-fetus is a human, and here is the proof as to why."
How many cells does it take before a human is a human? How many before it is no longer ok, and one less cell would be ok to abort? Who is a good authority to decide this?
When those questions are sufficiently answered, I will support abortion. Until that time, the compassionate loving human in me will staunchly oppose any form of abortion, for any reason.

Disregarding legality, which obviously varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, what do you think of graffiti as an art form?

Graffiti is writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place. If it isn't yours, don't touch it.

Actually there are legal grafitti walls, and just scribling your name/what-ever is IMO not grafitti it's more of the art of being a #$%^&* to the artistic part of the community and randomly taging stuff.
