What do you think is the greatest quote ever?
In a question related to that, who do you think is the most influential person (in all history)?

It's quite an interesting thread.
Also, MyTie, now that your favorite chips have been quietly buried in a cemetery in northern Wisconsin, what is your favorite snack food?
And you can't say beer.I'm still in mourning over the death of my chips. However,
I am trying new things

How do you find the volume of a sponge? (like putting the sponge in water and measuring the distance from the original water level to the water level after you put the sponge in.)

Tough one. I bet the volume of a sponge is different dry than wet. You would have to ask the question: What is the volume of a sponge wet? That way, you are clearly defining what you are measuring. Putting the sponge into a container and seeing how much water it dispaces would tell you the density, if you knew the weight. I would probably just soak the sponge, and then measure how long, wide, and tall it was, and give a cubic inch or cubic centimeter volume to it. If the sponge were not square, then I would soak the sponge in water, until it were completely full, then place it into a vat of water, and see how much water were displaced from that vat. That probably wouldn't be too accurate, but it would be fairly close. What do you believe will become to "universal language?"This depends on the economics of the world, as well as history. Right now, probably none. If I had to choose, it would be between Chinese, French, English, and Spanish. Arabic... perhaps... but that seems like a long shot. Edit: A little more thought and I say probably Chinese.
