You know, your whole thread/discussion/questions assumes that you believe in global warming, etc.

I don't believe in it.

It's all politics and a way to garner attention.

Queggy, our planet is constantly changing its climates. It's a cycle of cold and heat. IIRC, we're in the warming part of the cycle now.
I'm going to go a little out of order, though.
Once the fossil fuels are completely used up, humans will have to use renewable resources, which are cleaner and don't pollute nearly as much (ie hydrogen - when burned, it combines with the oxygen in the air to form water). The pollution levels will gradually reduce, so it'll be possible to breathe without relying on filtration systems. If the change in climate slows down after the fossil fuels run out, there should be enough time for the animal races to adapt to the changing temperatures/environments.
Water can be kept clean by filtering out the chemicals that are combined into it before releasing it into the wild or reusing it. Trees can be preserved by planting one for every one cut down, and recycling as much wood products and paper products as possible.

You misunderstand me. Yes, the Earth goes through slightly warmer and colder periods . Is it getting out of control and all we are going to die? I don't think so. It's part of nature. It's kind of like a super-season I guess you could say.
:P
Do I believe that trying to come up with "green" stuff is bad? No. Once again though, I don't believe that it's out of control. The earth has gone through these "super-seasons" since the start of time and yet the earth is still here. The earth will warm up by a few degrees and then cool down a few degrees, etc. Back in the 60's and 70's we heard about how we were all going to die from a new Ice Age. Then in the 80's and 90's it was global warming. Now it's "climate change", as if the earth doesn't experience four season every year for time immemorial.

In my opinion I think that any huge problems we have with earths state will eventually be fixed by some smart scientist who figured something awesome out, since problems beget innovation and any major problem that needs attention ASAP will be solved fastest, so when we run out of fossil fuels someone will figure out how to synthesize it easily or how to generate evergy in a more efficient way
(wahh I gotta do captchas again)

Queggy, the new Ice Age, global warming, and climate change are essentially the same thing. When it gets hot enough, it'll throw off some of the ocean currents (or something like that) and then when that happens it'll begin to get colder (look it up for yourself if you want to understand the theory, its begin talked about enough). Its sort of like a chip in a dam, the chip itself isn't going to make the water rush out and spread, but the increased pressure and the force of gravity will cause that chip to expand and eventually you'll have a huge flood. No one has said 2 degrees would barbecue us, but its the effect that those 2 degrees of delicate systems that are regulating global temperatures would have that would be huge.
Now, I don't believe we're near that point yet (obviously), since we've had a minimal impact so far, but should something like that happen, yes, there would be global impacts.

Cricket just wondering but why are you always saying to cull the population? Culling our own population has major ethical and scientific issues. Why should some random government decide who can have children? Also if we limit population we would cut off genetic paths that could be extremely beneficial for our species.
How bout we sterilize you first if you believe in this so much!

Cricket, I really hope you're being sarcastic right now.
If you really believe that more people need to die to save the earth then you should start with yourself.
But I'm going to go ahead and assume that was sarcasm.
EDIT: To TheMediator; the population is increasing
all over the world
. The reason why it's so big in Africa is probably because they don't have the same protection as the richer parts of the world.
