I think some of these aren't actually troll posts, though. My guess is they don't do any sort of background check on some of their contributors and they're posting attempts to troll them without realizing it.
Then of course, people who don't realize it was a successful trolling attempt attempt to troll it in the comments.
I've now confused myself pretty thoroughly, but such is the way of the internet.
