You call a 5% crit chance buff that is also held by a few other classes and doesn't stack with fire's buff utility?
No, I think he meant that the different buffs you get from a raid will make or break the difference between which of the two specs will be top dps.

In addition ilvel 259 items (heroic Coliseum) got 50% more intellect than T8.5. Now how are we supposed to spend that with fire?
So yes, the pendulum is about to swing to arcane again.
Well, T8.5's 4pc bonus is godly for Fire and utterly useless for Arcane. Shouldn't that hold some sway?

Tier 9 exists now.
So what? When T8 started existing, it didn't stop well over half of the Mage population from keeping 2pcT7.5.
Just because new tier gear comes out doesn't mean it's optimum for you.

point. People are harping how T9 is geared for Arcane, I'm not disputing that. What I'm saying is that despite the lower level of itemization, Fire mages are probably better geared with T8.5 and this will help maintain their spot as top DPS. Otherwise yes, Arcane could very well rule the roost.
